fear cuts deeper than swords

Her attention was caught up in the entirely new world around her. Everything seemed so vivide here. The green of the foilage greener, the colors on the birds brighter, and finally deep blue sky and its constantly moving clouds. They broke up, reformed, made moving shapes and objects that were left up entirely to her endless imagination. She must have looked a mess standing there staring at the sky still mostly drenched and entirely ungainly. How long she might have stayed there just allowing her mind to roam they would never know. Her intention had been to come to Paradise, explore for a bit, and carry on her way. For some reason running into whomever called this place home had never truly crossed her mind.

So when she heard some calling out it took a moment to register that they were calling to her. She spooked slightly with shock at the sound and the realization she was not alone here. Her light hooves skidded across the sand as she turned to face the pair not all that far down the beach from her. For a moment she was ashamed of herself for not paying attention to her surroundings, that was the first rule Hollowpoint had taught her. She felt doubly ashamed at being caught red handed at barging into someones home. No doubt with her luck she had interrupted some important or intiment going-ons.

However they were both well aware of her presence now so it wasn't as if she could jump back into the ocean and swim away. She walked slowly toward the two of them, a mare and a stallion she could tell, with her head high. Her father had always taught her to do all things with pride and she wouldn't forget any more of his lessons today. The sand sticking to her underside was beginning to itch and her mane and tail hung in thick dread locks where the salt water had dried them. She was the picture of disheveled.

She came to a stop close enough for conversation yet leaving enough space for comfort all the same. Her painted head dipped in a greeting before she spoke. "Hello. My apologies for intruding so unexpectedly and interrupting your.. conversation" It was more a guess at whatever they had been doing, she really had no way of knowing. "My name is Aria, my father used to live here and I just wanted to see it for myself." Mentally she prepared herself for the disappointment of being told to leave before she had been able to truly see this paradise.
