Bowing is head to the dog respectfully, Intoxicated nodded. "The pleasure is mine, I'm sure," He replied, his voice beginning to become rough from a dry throught despite the water he had just drank. He flicked his tail feline-like as he listened to the storyteller. He was telling his tall tales here, hm? Toxic was interested to listen to one of these stories, but hadn't the time. He would have to be out of here by the end of the day, and there was no telling how long stories dragged on. All day or a few minutes, either way he couldn't chance being here when the sun set.
He was somewhat dumbfounded at the returning question, not knowing exactly why he was here. Sure he was here because it was the closest water source he could get to, but in all truth, he had absolutely no reason to be here. Nothing holding him here or anything. It was just random choice.
"I suppose it was by chance I came across the river," The dog shrugged. "No real reason. I just came from battle and needed water, and this was the first place I came across." He wasn't about to lie to anyone, his conscience wouldn't allow it. He saw the interest in Abraxas's eyes and he continued. "I was in combat to win over a pack, actually." He sighed. "Didn't end too well for me. I am more of a traditional fighter, while my opponent fought with blessings. He killed me with a shot to the heart." He looked down at the 'X' Scar over his heart and shivered. He wouldn't go into detail of the pack, not knowing if the dog wanted that part of the story.
It was haunting, and blood was definitely shed. How ironic was it that he was returning to join that brute now, the very same one who had took his life. Toxic found it odd that he was now lying his life in the hands of the one who took it in the first place. The wounded brute flicked his tail once again, waiting for any following questions or comments the borzoi had for him. Replies:
