Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

As the other vanished from the spot where Vendetta had been watching through the brush, the brute instinctively whipped around. His fur was on-end, hackles raised menacingly as the dark brute re-appeared, as predicted, behind the spot where V had been standing. Body lowered to the ground in a preparation to spring, the black, white, and red marked wolf let out a vicious teeth-baring snarl. Vendetta's jaws parted as he made to strike at the Fire Pack member, but he halted before he could leap, eyes locking onto the other's emerald cores.

Hackles still raised, the brute narrowed his icy blue eyes on the wolf that was almost his double. A low, dangerous growl rumbled from his chest, but Vendetta didn't move. He looked his brother up and down, recognizing the identity almost instantly. After all, how could one not recognize their own near-twin. V took a slow step back, eyes still locked on Asch with a seriousness. Blood or no blood, his brother had been gone for over two years... This was not the pup he remembered.

As Asch spoke his name, Vendetta's lips pulled more tightly over his bared teeth, but he remained silent. He held his brother's gaze with matched impass, though his expression was still cold as he slowly covered his fangs. "Asch." Vendetta echoed back, his tones more boyish like their father's. This was not how their reunion should have been. This was not the happy occasion Vendetta had dreamed of on more than one occasion. As much as he wanted to smile and ask his brother where he had been, the lingering smell of his enemy on Asch's fur halted any thoughts of such gaiety.

"And so?" Vendetta questioned coldly, white fringed tail giving a quick flick behind him. He did not want to harm his brother, not after wishing for this day for the past two years... But he would not rule such an action out. If Asch was toiling about with Fire Pack, he was still an enemy... one Vendetta would not hesitate to kill if necessary.
