Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

The next to arrive on the scene is none other than Fallacy, one of Kershov's assassins. I nod my head in respect to her rank, ears pricking in interest at the slender white female who is my pack mate. I find that I don't know much about her at all. I've heard that she's quite the sneaky one, which I guess you have to be to be an assassin. I'm silent but I'd rather my enemy know I'm coming so they can at least have a fighting chance. Even so, my mismatched gaze gleams with understanding as I look away to give her peace.

The next scent to reach my nostrils has a smirk tugging at my porcelain lips. So Aviias has decided to attend the party. How nice of her. My tail flicks in humor as green and blue eyes fall on the female who's next to enter the clearing. I watch with intrigue as she plants herself down away from the rest of the pack, simply inclining her head toward Kershov as Fallacy did. My eyes gleam but I make no comment of her new outlook. Maybe she'll turn out to be useful yet.

I remember hearing the angst in my alpha's tone when Marx arrived first on the scene. He must have thought I'd thrown his decree to the wind and didn't want to escort the new rung of the food chain. He was asking Marx where I was when I came bounding up on his heels. I guess it's a good thing I stayed so close, otherwise Kershov might have really thought I wasn't attending to my new "duty." He comes right back to himself once I arrive though, giving me an answering look before speaking. In answer, I pull my lips back in a sly grin. Only what I learn through observation, my king. My voice is smooth as silk and subtle, not letting anything go. Yes, I'm obediant but I can still keep others guessing, even my alpha.

Besides, gotta keep the mystery appeal, right? I'm sure he remembers our last little chat in Abendrot before Mamba approached. I'm not done trying to find out what's behind the intimidating mask of my alpha just yet. Once Fallacy arrives on the scene, Kershov seems to be practically shaking in anticipation of things to come. He gives her a few quick orders to do some silent recon on the borders, finding Satowra's scent to be faded. I too notice the oldness of it. Interesting.

Kershov then hands out orders to the rest of us, already raking down the side of a tree himself. I take a moment to admire the power of the motion before he gives me my orders, or rather Marx and I. Glancing sideways at the shaded male at my side, I turn back to Kershov and nod in understanding before slinking off quietly toward Abendrot's center to start rubbing against trees and breaking off branches on the bushes with my mouth to better leave my scent. Making sure nothing is left untouched, I urinate where I can and rub where I can't. Anything to leave my mark and say an Abendrot wolf has been here recently so stay away.

Glancing back at Marx with a sly smirk, I think about the mayhem he caused at Abendrot's borders already, his little rampage and think to myself how he must be enjoying himself actually being asked to do it now. As I'm heading off, I hear the king's orders to Aviias and can't help but grin on the last part. Yes, I do hope Bright Moon doesn't "mind" the visitors.
