The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

A bitter laugh of disappointment falls from my vocal cords. I watch as the other wolf’s form comes into view, however he never gets close enough for me to see all his features. A gagging sound meet s my orbs, and the wind carries my cruel laughter his way. Poor pup is so afraid of the big bad wolf he is getting sick. I watch his muscles stiffen and he turns tail. He takes off running like the hounds of hell on his tail. My chest rumbles with a low growl, disappointment riding me being denied the taste of his blood. The only thing that saved his ass from my chasing down the coward and killing him was the fact his cowardly ways amused me. Proving even if he challenge again he would never ever be a threat to this pack or my family.
I shift my weight from foot to foot the adrenaline draining from my body and leaving me with pent up aggression and anger. I shake my fur and dig my dull edged claws into the earth. The grass bends under my feet, my muscles surge as I push my large form to the brink of my speed. Feeling my muscles protest at the sudden demand. I am built for fighting not running however in a pinch running is a great was to tax ones self.
Through the lands and around other packs my formed carries me. My emerald eyes watch the blurring of the landscape. Soon the moon rises over the earth, and I find myself coming to a halt. My legs burn and my lungs scream for oxygen. I take a moment to look into the sky. The moon is tented red something that only happens every one and a while. Staining it like blood, cloud hover in the atmosphere although not thick they obscure most of the stars.
Sometime standing here looking into the hunters moon makes me feel so small. Yet as always a since of piece grows within me and spreads outward. My breathing evens out and the burning of my limbs passes from my mind. I lower my dial, a silent joy gracing my orbs. I set off at a fast walk, in my travels I cross the area our family had first regrouped. To think of how far we had come from the ashes of our last home. It is amazing how much a family or a wolf pack can do when they stick together.
Soon I am passes a lake, I stop at the edge and quench my thirst. I catch a small fish that dares come by my maw. Not a feast but enough to slake the slight hunger and replace the calories I had burned during my run.
Once I finished the fish I once more set off into the night, comfortable knowing the moon goddess would protect me this eve. It is the moon of the hunt not even small rodents ventured out on a night like this.
Soon my paws touch the land of Andre. I take my time and follow along the edge of the border marking the border with my scent and that of my family. I do not send out a call, instead I go to a small clearing. Knowing the wind would catch my scent and carry it inward. Seline and any others would find their way to me. Seline would know I had won, otherwise I would have sent out a call and not returned. I would have exiled myself until able to prove my worth as a warrior once more.
A deep laughter rolls from my chest as I once more envision the cowardly asshole turning tail and running. Saladin would think it funny to know his assassin was still feared. That even the wolf that though himself great enough to fight his daughter ran at the sight of his brother. I allow my haunches to meet the ground, as I sit still, my optics close. Most would think me dosing. However I would hear the slightest sound, or scent any interloper. This is a façade my family knew well, I had used it to lure many a outside wolf the their death making them believe I am not alert and sleeping on the job of century duty. However, it serves another purpose, it makes me more aware of my surroundings and gives me a chance to meditate or formulate plans if needed.
