Wildflower Plateau
Wildflower Plateau is the sister-land to Brilliant Pampas, though the two have been separated since the Catastrophe. Wildflowers are this land’s specialty, and it sports more flowers than humankind has ever discovered. Every shape and size and color grows here, even throughout the harsher seasons. This land is in itself a rainbow, the trio of lakes at its core reflecting its beauty perfectly. Here or there, trees scatter shade across the landscape, completing the natural masterpiece.
This land is closed. No herds can live here.
have you ever taken notice of the sky? Any, Mentor; birthing IP: 76.226.221.41 Posted on January 3, 2012 at 02:19:31 PM by nevada sky
She was counting the days, literally. She'd kept count by marking them down in the dirt under a tree with her hoof; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... But something was different as she made the mark today. She felt restless, annoyed, and seemingly ready for something. Her belly was swollen, way too big for a normal pregnancy and the blue roan mare could tell this wouldn't be a normal pregnancy. Moving slowly through the flowers, she suddenly felt a pang. It wasn't like she'd stepped on a rock, no, in fact it was not even on or around her legs or hooves. It was in her stomach. The child wanted out. Little did Nevada know, the 'child' was actually 'children'.
Allowing her sense to take over, the mare moved toward a secluded area where she had shelter from prying eyes. Giving a heaving sigh, she settled back to graze, occasionally pausing and taking deep inhales to allow the contractions to sweep through her body. Soon the pains where so harsh the blue roan lady was laying on the ground, wincing and giving grunts of pain as they flowed through her body.
Finally, it came. A girl. She was a silver bay roan and her eyes the color of honey. Nevada sighed. She thought it was over and was pleased with herself for birthing another soul into the world. Moving, she attempted to stand but was instantly brought down by another contraction. Wildly, our blue lady nudged her daughter out of the way as another figure left her body. Puzzled, the contractions left and she studied the other being beside the girl. It was a boy and he was also a silver bay roan. Finally, it hit her. This whole time she was carrying twins. Compassion overflowed her and she nuzzled them both, licking them clean and finally deciding upon names.
"Ranger for the boy and Holly's Honey for the girl," she said lovingly before raising her profile to her legs and calling out for Mentor to welcome his new children.
