Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

A splash of red and brown hurtled over the ice and snow. The petite femme ran as fast as she could through the winter climate, and her swift paws took her faster than it was expected of her tiny frame. It was not just out of practice she ran though, it was more a matter of urgency. The messenger scout took her job very seriously, even though the only thing she wanted to do for the time being was to curl up and cry. Her father was dead. It was expected that she would break down. But for the moment, she refused to believe it, but followed orders all the same.

She ran to the highest peak which had been their meeting place for usual. She saw nobody at first, but scents around were strong and she could tell there were many around, perhaps not in plain sight but they were here all the same. Fire pack! she called out into the snow. Your leader was tricked! Strider is dead! her voice cracked a little, but she needed to continue the message. Achilles takes his place as Alpha, as first born son of Strider. He buries Strider as we speak, at Traydon River. Join him if you may. If you value your positions in the pack you will return to Fire Pack or the Traydon River at once. We are withdrawing from this war! she breathed heavily, her large brown eyes growing wide and emotional. And then her wings spread and she flew to watch the cremation of her father's body.
