aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

My mind races with mixed emotions. Fear and anger being the two main to hit me where it truly hurt. I shift my weight forward and tense my torso for impact, preparing my being to connect with that of the males. It was times like this when I realized just how often it was that Titan was not here. I knew this would not end well but I was damn sure I would use what strength I had in me to protect my pups along with those youths of my best friend. I recall the hunting party and when they set out, it wasn't long ago meaning they will still be quite a while. I was in this alone without a cat in hells chance of winning.

My skull connects with the vargs shoulder and I feel his body tighten momentarily, obviously adjusting to the impact and dealing with the pain. I don't expect his next move at all. Instead of backing up like I expected, he's lunging in to my fur trying to latch on to what he can. Even though my coat is thick, he still manages to connect with the flesh beneath my cloak, puncturing my hidden skin causing me to yelp out in pain. With no time in between to retaliate, we're soon stumbling to the ground and the impact is enough to wind me.

How badly I longed for Freedom, the crimson soldier who could take this guy on without a problem in my eyes. But he wasn't here, instead of seeing my bloody hued knight return to my rescue i'm left with nothing but memory of his leaving with little knowledge as to when I would see him again. By the time my energy returns enough for me to scramble to my paws, that hance is ripped from under me when the alabastar and scarlet males strikes again, pinning me to the cold, harsh surface using his weight against my strength. There was no competititon, I couldn't muster the strength to remove him from my now pinned torso. Snarls escape my throat while my back limbs scramble beneath the fuckers muscular form with no success whatsoever.

It all becomes clear soon enough. My chocolate smeared optics observe the other male who had stayed silent throughout the event until now when his heavy, confident footfalls catch my attention. He approahes the den and hesitates not before continuing through the sterdy entrance and disappearing out of sight. Anxiety fills my chest and causes me to lash out in whatever way I could, sending my limbs in every direction with hopes of causing some form of damage.

Moments later, the other male is pacing out the den carrying a confident stride as he paces along his way. I'm unable to fully make out who he has the scruff of besides Russia. My helpless daughter looks terrefied grasped between ivories of the haunting strange. I call out to him, almost begging him to return finding no explaination as to why two males would disrupt a pack just to pupnap. Non the less, it was irrelevant, all I could do was try and fight some more hoping to hit some sort of nerve.

Once the napper was out of the way, his scent still heavy on the paklands, the other shifts his torso enough for me to scramble to my paws and in a desperate attempt to stall the fucker giving me chance to make after the other, I lift my right paw and send deadly talons across his palette as he motions forward aiming for one of my stilts.. If I succeeded in my aim he would be left with a damn neat couple of scars beneath his left eye, if I didn't, well.. That's just the luck of the draw. Not even seconds later, I'm launching my frame forward, desperate to catch up with the other.

What I didn't know at the time was that It would be impossible considering the impact to my back has caused some form of internal damage. I would never be able to catch up to him, whether his trail was fresh or not.. I had to stay behind and let Russia go.. Atleast until the pack got home. Guilt washes over me, wishing I could have done more when I remember the pups laid back at the den. Instantly I throw my torso around and limb as best I can toward the entrance, disappearing within its dark, empty existance, absalutely clueless as to what I will find.
