Joining Hoof Prince is easy... simply fill out the required fields below, wait for an element assignment, and start playing! All levels of experience are accepted! (*=required field)

If you're not quite sure what color your new character should be, or maybe how tall they are, check out Character Information. Also included is a list of traits and defects. Direct any questions to the Questions/Suggestions board in the OOC section. :)

IMPORTANT:

It is up to YOU as a player to read the rules section. They are there for a reason and that reason is to help you understand the game. If you are still confused after reading the rules section or are confused about a rule in particular, please ASK someone about it.

The 500 word minimum for sample posts has been temporarily revoked. We still require that you do a sample post for your first character (sample posts done for any characters other than your first are just a big plus and help us determine that character's element.!)

Due to the lack of UN-ELEMENTAL in Hoof Prince, all horses that do not want an element that join will automatically be given 15 EXTRA Tokens for their assigned Element instead of the standard 5 Tokens. Please see the 'Non-Believer' section under Magic for more information.

in a thousand years, what will be our legacy?

Hi, I’m Solum and I’ll be playing Aalis!

Sample Post:

aalis arrived with a bang.

she paid no attention to the milling equines, the ones who wandered into the Vistas morosely and with only the purpose to find a home. That was her ultimate goal, of course, but Aalis knew she’d attract more attention if she came in at a dead run and with a neigh. Her head was thrown back against the driving win, her mane and tail whipping behind her like a flag caught in a rainstorm. Her nostrils were stretched as she gulped in breath after breath and continued to run along the bare trees, enjoying the smell of ice and snow and the frozen ground beneath her. Despite the hard winter and her desire to eat just about anything in sight, Aalis had heaps of energy and the feeling and sound of her hooves on hard ground only spurred her on.

eventually she came to a frozen spring which she jumped over with a squeal, and landed with a kick out. Aalis slowed to a prancing trot, steam rising off her thin, pale-yellow body, her nostrils blowing out hot puffs of air. She lowered her nose to the ground and exhaled loudly, sending snowflakes flying. She snorted again, pleased with herself.

it was a good day to be young.

aalis came to a halt where the stream looped back on itself and flicked her tail, her muscles twitching readily. She could run for hours—for ever, it seemed, but she didn’t want to run herself out of the Vistas. They had been her destination, after all, when her mother had run her off. Lowering her head again, Aalis lipped at the snow and watched it melt away.

no one approached her yet, but it didn’t bother her to be alone. There were always games she could play with herself, and squealing loudly, Aalis picked her head up and leapt over the spring again. And anyway, if she did get too lonely, she could always find a bird to talk to or a squirrel to harass… if the squirrel in question hadn’t yet gone into hibernation, that is.

aalis wondered aloud, “I wonder why we don’t hibernate?”

her voice was clear and soft, much like any young lady’s voice would be. Aalis turned back to the stream and pawed at the frozen water, wondering if fish hibernated like squirrels did, or if they just got frozen alive.

aalis decided that being frozen alive might not be the best thing ever, and she shivered. She hoped she could find a herd before that happened. When she had been very young, a foal had frozen to death. She could remember the mother’s cries and the lifeless eyes… Aalis shivered again. She felt bad for the fish, and with a blink of her honey-brown eyes, she summoned a small fireball and began trying to melt the ice to save any fish that might be frozen in the stream.

if she found any, Aalis decided that she could rename herself. Aalis, Saver of Frozen Fish!
