The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

PhotobucketSeline had momentarily taken her leave from the border with her son in the care of Tjikiju, the elder foreign female who the Queen felt herself liking more and more as often as she was around her. But she had heard the howl of a newcomer on the borders just shortly after coming to meet little Quirino, and as Alpha she took it upon herself to excuse herself and see what this was all about. She could also detect the prominent scent of her current golden boy, Calix, and his fair maiden, Clover. Eager to see what the newcomer was all about, as well as eager to finally meet Clover, Seline set forth at a rather brisk pace.

Her shoulder still hindered her slightly, but day by day the infection was lessening and she was feeling better, though she still walked with a limp in her stride. But of course Seline did not allow any of the pain and such to show across her expression; it simply was not her way. Instead she kept a rather lazy, somewhat friendly expression across her palate as she found herself nearing the small knit group of wolves on her border. Arching her tail absentmindedly across her back, no doubt showing her position as head of the pack, the snow and blood female hung back for several moments, merely listening to the speaking before making her presence known as she stepped out from the thicket off to the right. Arching her left brow lightly, before padding around to circle the male on her border, the one who stood so rigidly and hadn’t even moved to submit to her boy, Calix. The thought brought a sneer to her mind, but nothing showed across her face. Instead, her voice slipped forward; sweet and deadly. “Tell me; why don’t you submit and respect my Calix? If I were you I’d get on the ground.

The Queen would have normally never forced another wolf to the ground, but the way he held himself, his tone, and his actions all spoke of his true nature. There was also the lingering scent on his pelt that irked her; it was the distinct scent of the packlands to the south-east of Andere, none other than Malignant Felicity. The Alpha had heard of the packs own Alpha female, Queens, and had a hankering to visit and seek out perhaps some sort of relationship with the female. But the male before her held tell tale signs of the pack- and it seemed he did not stay very long there. There were also hints of injuries to his body, which only told Seline that he had gotten into a brawl sometime soon. The only conclusion she could make was that it had been a fight within Malignant, no doubt the boy coming in as a stranger to stir up drama.

With a light curling of her upper lip, the ivory and crimson cloaked female glanced momentarily across at Calix, who she nodded to briefly, before speaking once again in her velvety voice. “Also; do tell me what brought you here from Malignant. I do hope you haven’t caused any trouble now- have you boy?” Focusing her intense emerald irises on the boy, she rounded his other side, briefly brushing her thick pelt against him to see how he’d react. Her next object of obsession was the little maiden thought of before; Clover. Allowing her bright gaze to roam across the girls fourm, she could tell she was young, had spunk; and that something was troubling her. With a light flash of concern flashing across her expression, just long enough for the girl to see it, Seline quickly made her way to one of her newest lovelies side. Tilting her jaw at an angle to take in more of her frame, the Queen went as far as to reach out with her muzzle to tentatively nuzzle at the younger girls scruff, before murmuring words only for her, and perhaps Calix’s ears only. “Pleasure to meet you, Clover. I’d like a word with you sometime soon; I don’t like seeing my loves troubled and upset, after we finish up here, of course.

With a smile similar to the one she had graced Calix with the last time they had seen one another, she aimed it first directly toward the boy himself, gracing him with such a gift, before turning to the stranger still on their border. “Come on out with it boy, I’ve got places to be and people to see. You wouldn’t want to keep a lady waiting now- would you?
