She was standing silently in the main clearing of the jungle. She was inhaling and exhaling silently. There were vines twisted around her legs and body. They seemed to cling to her, gently of course, and she did not struggle to loosen their grip. Instead she remained still allowing the vines to crawl around her. In her chopped mane there were bits of petals from various colored flowers, like red, violet, blue, white, orange, yellow, teal. Her dark coal eyes were closed. The jungle was her sanctuary. The jungle was slowly becoming a home to her. Ever since she first came into the jungle, after being invited by Courant, she felt the jungle start to…pull to her. The jungle could breathe and think on its own. The jungle could tell what the dark creature wanted without her asking. The jungle knew the creature was broken. The jungle would move and change itself to allow her ease to move. The jungle always knew what she needed. She needed a moment to think, to plan, to discover, to learn. The jungle wanted to help and created a way for her body to remain calm and allow her mind to roam. That was why the jungle had wrapped itself all around her…maybe that was the way the jungle declared the Monster as their own.
She didn’t understand why she was chosen as Queen. She didn’t know anyone. She didn’t know a whole lot about the Valks. Hell she didn’t even understand why Courant nominated her in the first place. She had never been in charge of anything before. Long ago she used to be the General in the Army, and the Headmaster in the Senate, but that was in a completely different place. She led both sides, but served under the two leaders. This would be new. She would be making all the shots. She had to be careful with her decisions. Deep down she wanted the best for the Valks, she really did, and she didn’t know how exactly to do that. She needed to find a way, a way to….*crack* Her eyes reopened when she heard the sound of a branch breaking. Her mind went blank. She remained still and noticed the other candidate coming towards her. She stood silently waiting for anything. She was expecting anger, she was expecting an argument, and she was expecting something. Primonetta knew the Valks a whole lot better than she did. She could feel the vines keep their gentle grip on her. She could feel the dew from the vines start soothing Paudan’s marks. She looked to Primonetta, her coal eyes held an unemotional look to them. She didn’t know exactly what to tell her. She remained quiet for a moment and sighed softly. A soft voice escaped her maw as she spoke to the jungle.
“Thank you for easing the pain, but you don’t have to do that all the time.”
The vines that were wrapped around her began to tighten up a bit. She sighed softly. The jungle had a mind of its own. It wanted to stay with her to continue helping her. The jungle always did what it wanted to do. For some reason it always wanted to help her. She’d do anything to help it…and the ladies. After all this was her home…their home. She raised her head and looked back at Primonetta. It was time to place action. It was time to do….”something.” Her dark coal eyes looked towards Primonetta and a cold soft voice slithered out.
“I will need help and guidance Primonetta.”
