The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.
His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.
"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."
It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.
"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."
The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Whatever Quirino had been doing, Cade hadn't been a part of it. The little princess had decided, as was the usual case, that Qui's intentions and ideas were stupid, so the vixen had parted ways with her sibling in pursuit of ehr own fun. Upon her exploration of the surrounding areas, she found herself in a large maze of caverns, sitting in a bend with her shadow cast against the far wall. The inky reflection of herself was at least 20 times her actual size and when she gave an open mouthed grin, it looked like she was going to devour whatever came down the path. As it happened, the majority of passing bodies consisted of other pups shuffling around, checking the place out for themselves. Since Cade was unlike the majority of pups, having been trained in the silent ways of a killer, she was able to effectively stay still and listen to her targets approaching, despite not having perfected her training yet. Whenever one of the other youngsters would get close enough, Cade would start cackling in a loud, almost manic voice, sounding for all the world entirely insane and murderous. It never failed that she would hear the rapid click of nails on the stone as they turned tail and fled back the way they'd come. When that grew boring, Cade found a few caverns with copious amounts of small, scale covered creatures. It took the ess a few tries to finally catch one. After all, they were rather quick and could scale the walls and disappear into crevices she couldn't even fit a paw into. Having managed to catch one, she made quick work of killing it before dropping it on the ground to push around with her paw. It rolled with a relative ease and she stared at it for several moments before deciding it was worth a taste. Her sharp little canines gnawed on the skull first, listening to the crunch as she broke the jaw and swallowed the head after decapitating it. The rest of the lizard proved to be quite chewy with an interesting taste, somewhere between rabbit and deer. Decidedly, it tasted better than mice and squirrels. A few more lizards later, and she found ehr hunger had been staved off for the time being though she was by no means full. She got up after her last catch, licking the smear of blood from her chops, and scrabbled after another lizard. She'd captured and killed enough of them that she managed to wrangle another one with more ease. Holding onto this one, it's hind legs writhing in the air in useless motions, she plodded out of the caverns and set off for home. Though she'd spent very little time in the pack lands, the lass knew her way there and found the path without much issue. She didn't stop on her way home or pause for anything and found herself at the border within a fair amount of walking time. The lizard had mostly stopped squirming now, perhaps having given up on its instinct to fight for survival. A few scents blew to ehr on the wind and she set her course for their location. Two of them were instantly recognizable to ehr as Qui and her mother, Seline. The third she had never smelled before, but it held the essence of the pack to it and she accepted that her mother had most likely brought one of her followers to meet Quirino at the border. When she met up with the little group, the female who was foreign to Cade was speaking, her language slightly broken and accented. Cade ignored her for the time being and trotted directly up to her mother, dropping the lizard at her paws. Cade, with a broad grin, looked from the twitching reptile to Seline and said with enthusiasm, "I brought you a chewy present, mother." |
