Encantador's pride at revealing his hidden oasis to his new companion was short-lived. As he watched Razvan wade knee-deep into the pool of cool, clear water and drink for so long that Encantador entertained the thought that he might stand there forever, drinking his life away, it was quite evident that something was terribly amiss with the stallion. Encantador had been warm on their short walk, but Razvan was positively doused in sweat, and now, up close without his vision compromised by the glare of the sun, he could see just how frail and tired his companion looked behind the darkness of his black face.

Smile fading until his expression was all stony solemnity, Encantador suddenly became aware that Razvan might not appreciate being gawked at, and so the youth lowered his creamy head a few inches to idly nibble at the short, sparse greenery that surrounded his folded legs. He was still achingly thirsty, but he would be polite and wait until Razvan had sated his thirst and made himself comfortable. Besides, it was hardly as though thirst was something he was unfamiliar with these days.

It was as the painted male finally pulled himself away from the glassy surface of the pool and collapsed a few paces away that Encantador swallowed his tasteless cud and pricked his ears towards his companion once more. Evidently Razvan no longer even had the energy to pretend to be all right, and thus, Encantador instantly knew he was no longer in a position to ignore the other's peril. Feeling a stab of concern, he cleared his throat to break the long silence that had settled over them. He had been planning to question his comrade and get an idea of what he was like personality-wise, but now he felt as though such a thing would have almost been cruel. Thus, he opted for the practical approach.

"Razvan... I don't know why you decided to leave your home, or why you are looking for a new one elsewhere. But any idiot can see that you are not well... It would be wrong of me to turn you away now, so you are welcome to stay as long as you need to recuperate. Once you have regained your strength... then we can discuss what you wish to do." He stood abruptly, shaking away the dust from his hide, and took a few steps over to the water before lowering his head to draw a long, thoughtful and refreshing drink. Once satisfied, he returned his dark, serious gaze to his companion as the last few crystalline water droplets slid from his chin.

"Would you like me... to leave you? To rest? Or, I can stay here with you, if you like. I don't mind either way; it's not like I have anything better to do," he offered with a shrug.
