You can sign up for more message boards and include the links in a menu on your main message board or in a menu frame of your own webpage. Each message board will have its own username but you can use the same admin password for all of them if that's easier for you to manage.
In your board's admin pages there is a place to use a css file, or you can choose to insert text, background, and photos by using html in your header and footer sections. Photos have to be uploaded somewhere on the internet first and they will load on your board when you insert the proper links to them.
