Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Solaria sat and looked across the land. It was how she always began her day; Ice Mountain provided a rather amazing view of the area. Even so, the Arctic she-wolf figured the view was even better when one looked from the top of the actual Wolf Mountain. The disadvantage? Wolf Mountain was not exactly as cold as the white-furred lupine's current home. She was contented with the amount of snow and ice on this peak, and because of her species, she did not have to worry about freezing to death. As long as her fur remained thick enough, Solaria could stay here with her twin brother.

Lunarion woke up shortly after, roused by the sunlight streaming into the wolves' den. The teenage canine got up and stretched, then went to sit by his sister. "Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day, as always," he said as he gazed across the magnificent lands. Solaria nodded in agreement. "Do you think you can catch us, perhaps, a snowshoe rabbit? I'm hungry," she said. The male nodded. Even though he was the one who hunted more often, he did not really mind being bossed around by his sibling, as long as she was polite about it.
Lunarion trotted off, and before long, scented a rabbit that he and his fraternal twin would be able to enjoy. The wolf leaped, swiped a paw, and killed the prey rather quickly. Afterward, he picked the white rabbit up in his jaws and took it back to where Solaria was waiting. "Thanks, bro," she said, grinning. The two shared the meal and ate peacefully. When both wolves were full, the female asked, "So, what do you want to do now?" Her brother shrugged. Solaria rolled onto her back. "Relax in the snow, I suppose," she murmured, staring at her seemingly upside-down brother due to her position. "I guess," he responded. He also got onto his back and began staring thoughtfully at the fluffy clouds overhead. Eventually, the twins entered a state in which they were half-conscious and partly in daydreams.
