During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

It was as a ghost she appeared before him, with flickering paws of pale cream that flashed against the moon-bathed scenery as they dipped to and from the shadows. The rest of her body was a mystery, dark like the opposite side of the moon and bathed in a rich cloak of silvery gray when she stepped between the trees. Her approach was one of confidence, with an air of no-nonsense that stopped his appraising eye from tracing her curves too noticeably, though the hard muscles were not things the memory would soon forget. Appreciatively, Noche met her gaze, taking her status and her positioning in stride. It was of no consequence to him that she was an omega; more impressive still was her pride in the place she was defending, even when of one of the lowest status. A salmon tongue moistened his lips, and with calm assurance he began to answer her customary questions.

“My name is Ala Noche, though I have been called Ala and Noche, so to each I will respond. Is it not obvious, soldier, why I have come here? Take a look around, no pack has such an air of mystery or strength. For in mystery, one may remake themselves.”

He knew in some part of his brain that these words were higher than the standard you would expect from a loner, hinting at a life spent somewhere where words were held in great esteem. Sporting a wry curl of his lip, he added,

“And you’re reputation has preceded my arrival, Munashii Gecko. I heard this was a place where misfits were welcomed.”

Rolling his shoulders, Noche dared her to comment on his words, as she would most likely be eyeing him as a self-labeled misfit. What did that mean for her pack? His intelligent amber eyes captured her image, wondering if she’d ever been in his position, looking for a new life, new scenery. He straightened his legs slowly, should she prevent him from rising, until his back was parallel to the ground, his posture suggestive that they had become something beyond strangers but not nearly friends.

“And what is your name?”

He murmured, with no semblance of eagerness, but a dark politeness, with a tone that made one think he knew more about her than he was letting on (which of course, he did not.) In him resided a genuine interest in this fatale, but Noche had been bred never to show true emotion, so he showed nothing at all.

(ooc: ehhh okay, this isn’t that great, it’s proving very hard to get into a new character. Just trying to figure him out, so there may be a lot of personality changes XD /warnings>)
