Mock Battles
Beside the Challenge grounds is a smaller area designated for mocks. Battle is a way of life in the land of Beqanna, and one must be in top shape to succeed over their foes. This land is a land of practice, where knowledge and skill is gained and wounds are healed immediately after by a watchful battle fairy.

A hasty trot brought in Cordele looking for a friendly fight to brush up on her skills, or lack there of. This would be her very first fight short of the little foal bickering that happened on almost a daily basis in her youth. She had the pleasure of having an elder brother. Another mare stood alone muscles tensed and poised for her opponent. Cory strode up to her and bowed. I, Cordele accept your terms Cory tucked her hind end beneath her and reared up as high as her smaller frame could reach. She flailed her hooves aiming for eyes and ears, hoping to injure her opponent in the head. Such a balance act couldn’t be held forever and her front legs landed with a ground shuddering thud. Expecting a similar rear in reply to hers, she hustled backwards to avoid the other lady’s hooves crashing down on any part of her body. Now that her weight had shifted to her front, she tucked her nose between her knees. With a swift turn on the forehand, she bucked at the lady aiming for the lady’s ribs and belly. In this attempt her goal was to knock the wind out of her rival’s lungs and perhaps take a couple cracked ribs along with her.
