Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

The Sweet Smell of R A I N Continued

Slowly the girl rises to her paws and dips her chest to the earth, stretching out her muscles and closing her ocean tones opticals. Stepping forward out from the shady overhang the girl is blinded by a face full of sunlight. Blinking at the stark contrast the girl turns away, facing the ragged precipice once more. With a renewed energy the sylph again begins climbing the rocky ledge, taking her own time to slowly make her way upwards.

As the girl ascends the unmarked path by which she travels she can feel the air becoming cool, and thinner. Each breath is harder to catch, and breathing has become a challenge. Not the simple act of moving air in and out of her lungs, but rather getting the oxygen her body so desperately needs to survive. The only way the girl can think to compensate for this lack of oxygen is to move more slowly up the cliff. However at the rate she is going, if the girl drops her pace, she won’t make it by sundown and she will be forced to stop for the night, or risk attack.

While Dancing on a Ray of Sun enjoys a challenge, such as climbing Rainbow Cliff, she does not openly provide the opportunity for herself to be attacked; the girl does not actually want to die. Taking the cliff in leaps and bounds the girl races against the clock, -possibly at the risk of her own health- attempting to beat the sinking sun. If she could make it to the top, by sundown, perhaps she could find another overhang and sleep there for the night.

Finally, the girl crosses the last cliff. One more leap. One more time. One more final exertion and she will have reached the top. This crag has not killed her, it has not cost her any sort of limb. In fact, besides a bit of pain, and time, it has not even cost her any blood. Coiling her limbs the girl leaps forward, a final rush of adrenaline shooting through her veins. Her tired, beaten physique stands tall and proud, looking down on the world. The excitement and thrill, simply of having accomplished this task makes her dizzy in the head.

Stepping forward the girl takes seven paces toward the edge of the overhang. Her cobalt gaze peering down on the world. The white cottony clouds that earlier clouded her view of this place are now thinner, and a light pink shade, reflecting the sunlight that is slowly sinking down into the horizon. A double rainbow shoots across the expanse, whether caused by some unknown mist, a reflection off the clouds, or simply an illusion from being up so high, she does not know.

Perhaps the only thing that would make this moment any better, would be some company.
