Writings On the Wall

Finding herself a lone for a little while on her wait, Calligraphy wondered about Hollowpoint. He had agreed to let her stay here and to meet him. He had done what other stallions had of course but she was assured that perhaps he was different. She still could not understand why The Dragon had done this when she'd loved him. Of course, Lucindai had followed him. The grey tobianno was so torn and broken-hearted. She was doing her best to not show it strongly though. For the sake of this stranger whom was giving her a chance here. After all, this was the only home she'd known for so long. She'd have been worse off had he kicked her out with her tail tucked between her legs.

At his beckoning call and approach, soft brown eyes watched him curiously. Ears tipped toward him as he paused with a respectful bow of his head and a greeting. Hello there. I'm Hollowpoint, and might I guess that you are Calligraphy? He was right on of course, how could he not have been? She was pretty sure that other mares had not gone out of their way to seek him out. After all, she'd been the only one to have been shunned by her former lover and told not to follow him. Maybe though, it was meant to be this way. She knew not why. Yes, she had wandered a while and tried to gather her thouhts. She always came home though, after all, she'd brought Lucindai home hadn't she?

Hello Hollowpoint. She paused there a moment, going over what she truly wanted to say. Yes, I am Calligraphy. It is nice to meet you. Clearing her throat, her soft brown eyes steadied on him before she continued. Surely you are curious as to why I've been left behind and specifically told not to follow Dragon. I'm not really sure myself only that I was a bit of a wandering soul for some time. Gathering my thoughts and trying to straighten things out in my mind. I guess it was too much for him. I'm done with that now though.

Sighing a little, she dropped her head and closed her eyes. It hurt now that she truly realized she wasn't where she'd been in life. She wasn't happy, not like that. Her heart was aching in different ways. Some she could explain in her mind and others, she could not. It was puzzling and she couldn't explain it really if she'd been asked to. Shaking her head from the sorrowful thoughts running through her mind, her soft gaze returned to him. I only ask that you will let me stay here with you. Call this home still. Is that too much to ask of you though Hollowpoint? If it is, I will go. The words are soft but firm. Showing to this fellow that she was sincere. Should he not want her here, she would leave. Though her heart was in the Ridge still, she would do as he wished. Hopefully though, she would not be leaving her beloved home. Where else had she to even go now that she'd had him turn his back on her? A new night, a new chance. She had to start all over now didn't she?
