49 or 50

All,
Curious what the opinions are on a '49 vs '50 in terms of looks. I grew up with a '49 so the '50's look odd to me. I have an opportunity to buy a '50 in good shape that needs a bit of work or a '49 in okay shape that needs a bit more. After purchasing, fixing up, etc. the '49 will end up costing a bit more and I think the '50 will ultimately be the better vehicle, but I like the looks of the '49.
Thoughts from those of you who have been around both?
