The quiet serenity of this place is the first thing you notice as you wander into its embracing hold. Captivated, you look around you. Sunlight filters through the trees, pooling in golden warmth around the ground. Long legged foals bask in their youth, frolicking with each other in the meadows. The protection of Brighton lays over this land, and it remains a safe haven for any who seek shelter, though it cannot be used as a permanent home.

it’s the stream of a motion blur that swirls around until you drown

There wasn’t much she knew about her past.

She knew what blood lines flowed through her veins, the names that made up who she was genetically. She knew she was born in the Silver Lakes and had a twin she could, at one time, communicate with telepathically. But now? Silence. Anything familiar swept away by one large tidal wave. The Lakes held nothing for her now, no feeling of home no sense of familiarity from even the oldest dreams she had as a young girl. No other kingdom could hold her interest for longer than a quiet walk through, either. Even Scythia felt dull for her, her bloodline rich within it’s borders but it held nothing for her. A brother? From what she knew of her sire, she was sure to have plenty of those. A large family, which meant that fact that she bore Gobardon’s bloodline meant about as much as holding Altus or Courant’s stone; who didn’t these days? Her own ruby raged against her skin, the stone sticking out like a beacon against the taught skin of her smokey neck. It seemed the god she served hadn’t enjoyed her thoughts, nor the growing parasite that seemed to be sucking the very life out of her.

Anger pushed her forward, ribbons on fire threading in the dark black of her mane and tail, dark eyes searching for the creature that had...impregnated her. It had been some sort of a mistake, surely, some lack of common sense or some overwhelming power of male musk that blurred any sense of rationality that she might’ve had over the situation. Since that night, she hadn’t realized what was happening in her, the foul creature that was growing inside of her, reaping from her whatever she had left to give.

“You.”

She growled, coming across the overo stallion as he stood idly in the Vistas. Spring time had blossomed in Hoof Prince once more, bright colors painting the landscape as wild flowers reached up towards the sun. Alayu wanted to set them all on fire. Black eyes looked upon him with a certain level of disgust saved for baby momma’s whose baby daddy’s hadn’t bothered to call and check to see how the pee stick had gone. Alayu was normally a foul creature, Paduan crafting her after his own brand of moodiness.

“You did this to me.”

She accused, tail thrashing from side to side as ears remained pinned back. She’d be damned if she would be the only one raising the thing, whatever it happened to be when it felt like falling out of her body. She wasn’t the mothering type, wasn’t the kind of mare who swooned whenever a guy thought he might climb on top of her. But to have a kid? That was something she hadn’t signed up for, hadn’t really been ready for yet. In one fell swoop her freedom had been forever stolen from her, her ball and chain growing inside of her.
