The Rules
  • There will be no fraternizing with enemies. If you put yourself knowingly in danger, don't expect a rescue.
  • We are only as strong as our weakest link. See to it that you are getting stronger in some skill that is useful, whether it is battling, recruiting, charming, etc.
  • The King and Queen have final say in all matters.
tell the sun to start moving again

In the few moments of silence before Razvan speaks, Encantador politely averts his eyes, giving an air of idleness to the situation. He glances off to the east, further inland, peering across the sandy horizon for any tell-tale signs that the rest of the herd are nearby. He thinks he can see the cream and red silhouettes of Alexa and Sahara, and he wonders briefly, making a mental note to ask Razvan about it, how they are coping in their new home.

He returns his quiet brown gaze to his gamma just as the roan stallion parts his lips to speak, and listens attentively the entire time, taking care not to let his emotions show too predominantly on his face, though it is difficult at some points and a few times, the area over his eyes creases with something like concern or distaste. When silence is upon them once more, the air suddenly feels stifling, humid. Encantador takes a deep breath and shifts his weight to feel the cool, soothing firmness of the rock behind him. It steadies his nerves a little bit to feel something solid against his warm skin.

"I don't understand," he begins slowly. Some things he already knows, of course, but he'd had no idea of just how complicated things had become, and it shows on the blankness of his face. "What would Debonaire's motives be in releasing a mare he had no interest in keeping for himself? I mean, it seems like a selfless thing to do, but what you mentioned about the 'debt' he's dropped on your shoulders... it seems odd. And to ask you to come live with him, also," he pauses a moment, shaking his head. "I don't understand any more than you do, Razvan. " Unless, he thinks, it was a clever ploy to get Sahara to come live with him also.

"Out of interest, what did you say to him... when he asked you to come live with him? Is that something you'd... be interested in?" His face is serious, unreadable.
