As usual, Brighton was a part of his temple. He enjoyed being a part of the minerals and elements of the earth, part of the living core of the plants that hugged the cold marble as though it was the richest soil. This evening, he had chosen the lianas climbing the east side of his temple, their climbing patterns always enthralled him. He could lose days here, following their curves and tines with the very soul of his body. It always surprised him how much time passed while he was engrossed in his element. He felt he was the lucky god. His element was so alive, and it was all around him. It never ceased to amaze him, the mysteries that controlled the earth around him. Nonetheless, the earth never failed to warn him of a followers approach. With slight sadness, he began to pick his conscience out of the plant life. Slowly, a liana bulged from the wall, swelling to an unbelievable size as it began to take the shape of the oversized stallion. Gracefully, he stepped away, separating his body from the liana as the green faded from his skin and his roan colouring began to show through once more. Satisfied at his entrance, he turned to look at the mouth of his temple, walking into it to greet the follower he knew was coming. “Schuldig. It has been awhile. I’m glad you have returned to us. To me.” For truly, each of his followers was precious to him, each their own sparkling light in his mind that he must watch, nurture, and advise.
