The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

Gollum plodded in pursuit of his master as they arrived at Romance River. The foliage was lush, the sun casting an eerie white light on his green hued surroundings. The lobo watched with a sick detachment as a female slashed at her reflection in the river. Her features contorted as the water rippled but rightened when the liquid regained its flat impassive surface. Gollum pitied the fea, but made no move to help her.

The wolf Byakuya, his comrade, the one who shared his pain padded beside him. The canine was, like him, loyal to Naraku until death. The varg did not know the reason for Byakuya’s loyalty nor did he ask, it was not his place to pry into his master’s business. As they approached the mating dens, a musty aroma dominated his nasal senses. It smelled of old passion, trapped in the musty air of the cave. The air was foul here or maybe it just seemed that way to the varg whose honor-bound duty warped his ideals on love and such. he thought to himself. He forced his eyes away from the scenes before him, focusing his penetrating orbs on the damp rock underfoot. His relief at leaving the blasted den was short lived as they arrived at the Adoption Meadows.

The place was beautiful to see but not to smell. The flowers, now in full bloom, did little to masque the scent of death. The perfume could be credited to the small fellows who did not managed to find a home and had laid, hungry and scared on the soft earth to await their end. The vivid red, oranges and yellows left occasional gap to reveal the whiteness of what once was.(ooc: I have no idea if that makes any sense, I mean bones) One of these crunches under Byakuya’s paw, making a sickening noise ring through the air around them.

As the wide expanse of green known as Prey Plateau came into view, Gollum began to grow tired, hoping this journey was soon to end. He watched as several of his kin took down a dear, their movements clumsy, unpracticed. As they tore into the innocent herbivore, their eyes filled with tears. The stag’s heart went out to them but again he did not act. He was careful to keep his features impassive, an expression he had employed too often of the late. If they were killing because it was necessary, was it still wrong? Gollum did not know, he was not one to dwell on such things. The warrior believed only in what is and what is cannot be changed.

The lands dubbed Quarrels Clearing and Leisure Lake passed in a blur, the blood-soaked ground fading into fertile vegetation. His commander approached the Cavern of Secrets, a land Gollum remembered swearing to never venture. The varg had heard rumors of dark evil things that lied in wait for the fools that dared explore its property. Yet his master did not pause upon entering, plowing ahead into the damp rock. The carcasses of dead wolves lay scattered on the floor. The aroma of decomposing flesh and exposed organs floated heavily in the air. But still his commander trudged on, seemingly oblivious to these facts. Naraku let out a long howl, its tones suggesting some pretty darn mean thing, in Gollum’s opinion, not that he said so. Byakuya stood at his master’s side, flaking him, the varg did the same but on the other side. The threesome looked powerful, intimidating.

The perfume of another wafted towards them and its owner soon appeared. A wolf with a golden pelt sidled up next to Naraku, referring to his as a piece of meat. Gollum’s insides clenched but he knew better than to act. His master would want to handle this brat (sorry <3) himself. The newcomer announced his service, calling himself cute and adowable, Gollum doubted it. He then proceeded to plop down on his abdomen, carefree. The incredulous fellow looked up at his captain, waiting to judge his reaction.
