The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

The femme wandered the territory. Everything about her frame emanated neglect and sickness. Her banner was lowered, almost dragging on the ground. She hung her cranium low and her sea blue gaze was distant. Her paws silently hit the hard terrain, without emanating a sound. Taru's figure was thin. Even thinner then when she first joined the pack. Sure she had put on a couple of pounds but those all wasted away as she went into seclusion.

After seeing Clover before, a couple of weeks ago, she had left and gone through a deep depression. It had come out of thin air, nothing triggering it. Everything that happened in her dark past crashed down on her all at once. So she did the only logical thing to her. She ran. She ran away from the others and deep into the territory. The femme had found a secluded den and curled up in it, only coming out to drink and hunt. Every time she wandered the territory during the hunt and she scented another pack member or saw one in the distant, she usually turned tail and ran back to the den. This made her lose weight easily, let alone not being very well at hunting.

So now here she is, after weeks of seclusion, she wandered the territory. Travelling nowhere in particular, she let her pillars forge a path for her. But she soon heard something in the distance. Her ears twitched as the sound and lifted her crown, looking towards the sound and perking her ear just a tiny bit. Again and again, the faint noise repeated. Soon, Taru deciphered the sound. A whine and snarls. Something. No, someone is crying for help, and is in agonizing pain. She was reluctant to go towards the sound, not wanting to see anyone in her depression. But the sound, the whines and snarls, she couldn’t just ignore them. If she let it just whine in pain, she would never forgive herself.

So slowly, ever so slowly, she redirected herself and stalked towards the sounds. As she got closer, she noticed and recognized the sound. It sounded familiar, though she never heard the wolf make that sound. But no, it was definitely Clover. She could tell by the sounds. She picked up her pace, even though she was exhausted by her depression. She liked Clover. So she couldn’t just let her be in agony. Pushing her depression in the back of her head the best she could, she stopped in front of the den. The sounds have lowered, and there was a creaking from inside the den. Taru crouched and looked inside, seeing Clover curled up, her whole body shaking. Taru sniffed the air, and immediately she knew what it was. Pups. And they were coming now.

Instincts started screaming in her mind and she crawled into the den. ”Clover.” She nudged the girl’s side with her head, hoping to comfort the other. ”It’s ok. You’re going to be ok. Just listen to me ok.” It was all she could do to comfort the other. She may not ever had pups, but she was older then the girl and her instincts were better. As a pup, she had seen some births in her original pack, so she slightly knew what to do. The thought of her old pack brought the memories back and she let out a soft whine. Damn it. How could she run away when her old pack was being attacked!! She let them all die and she had lived!!! She shook her head, trying to clear it. No, she couldn’t think of this now. Clover needed her help. ”W-We need to get these pups out. You need to push. I know it’s got to hurt but you need to. Last through the pain, ok.” She tried to act as calm as she can, but no matter what, her voice was filled with sadness. She just couldn’t push her own depression away.

(OOC: Yea. I needed something to make up for my disappearance and with that, Taru’s disappearance. So, with her dark past, I thought depression worked well with her. What do you think?)
