This is a safe area for young to come and play whilst their parents get some sleep! Also, abandoned pups may find their way in here seeking parents and help.

Siamak took his brother's cruel comments in stride, as he took most things, rolling the snappy words off his broad shoulders like so many raindrops. He had learned some time ago that it was no use fighting with Faris, verbally anyway, that his tongue would always be sharper and his wit always quicker. Sia supposed it was fair that way, considering his brother's missing limb; it made since that the boy be blessed in brain, as if the gods were making up for something. The large black pup didn't even listen to Faris, instead walking on, enjoying the time to himself. Sia was apt to simply stop responding to anyone he was speaking with, drifting into his own curious world even in the midst of conversation.
Hassan trotted on, not coddling the boys too much in spurring them on but cautious as to who was where. It seemed, ironically, that Faris was the one who kept up the most, though the pretty boy was keen on being the favorite, always; with their mother, with the cats in the gang, and with Hassan himself. To be honest, the rust-colored dog disliked that facet of Faris, the almost ingratiating ways he would attempt to gain favor. It made him a little sick, for in it he saw the wiles his sister must have used to woo the boys' father, and Hassan didn't like thinking of that brute at all... Whoever he was. It bothered the brown dog to the enth degree that he didn't know, that Fatima wouldn't tell him - but, he supposed, turning in a wide arch and heading onto an area of the valley where the vegetation grew a bit more dense. He knew in here it would be a bit more difficult to follow him, but Hassan wasn't going to baby the boys any longer; he was going to show them how to survive as he'd learned it, without warning. He'd be watchful, of course, and keep tabs on the trio, but he wanted to see how they'd fair if he disappeared for a little. So Hassan vanished into the overgrowth, resolving to keep a watchful eye but not interfere.
Faris, meanwhile, had noticed Neo's falling behind and decided to stray back himself, wondering what his thoughtful brother was thinking. He paused for a moment as Sia continued onward, standing on his three limbs like nothing was wrong as the wind combed through his long, silky fur. He quite liked being pretty, he thought, teal eyes flickering over to where his brother came hurrying up. A smile wound its way onto his lips as Neo crashed into the elder wolf - not a cruel smile by any means, but an amused one, certainly. The wolf began to speak with his brother and it was then that Faris decided to intervene, padding over with his patented three-pawed stride and looking the wolf up and down appraisingly. "Did my brother stumble into you?" he inquired, looking over at Neo with a slight pout. "You /must/ be more careful."
He'd begun to look for Hassan upon noticing their uncle's absence, briefly, but Siamak soon heard the commotion caused by his brothers and had his attention instantly diverted. The big black pup perked his ears in the direction of Eddard and Neoptolemus, powerful stride carrying him like a shadow to the scene of the collision. His sharp blue eyes caught on the figure of Ned, the wolf. Wolves were a canine he'd never encountered before, despite being half wild himself, but instantly felt more of a similarity between the tall male and himself than he'd ever felt between himself and his brothers, or their mother, or even their more brawny uncle Hassan. There was something about Eddard that called to him, though exactly what was quite beyond Sia.
As per usual, the bigger pup let his brothers do the talking, watching Eddard curiously in his silence all the while. Faris kept up the conversation, feathered, fluffy tail wagging in slow, broad strokes as he questioned the peculiar stranger. "Who are you?" asked the three-legged pup, tilting his slender maw in the lord's direction. Replies:
