Helios flicked his tail over his rump, grinning. “I have, I hope the weather improves.” He sighed, shaking his head. “but I will be alright, and you are safe.” He smiled at Mael, bowing to the little bird. “Thank you little one, that is wonderful, Octavia is hurting just as I am.”
“Am not.” Octavia said out of pride, though she ate the berries anyways. They tasted tangy on her tongue but both of their hurts felt better. “But thank you anyways, feathers.”
The golden king rolled his eyes at Octavia and leaned forward, nuzzling Allouette gently. ‘My dear one, walk with me. I have several things to ask you, if you would be so kind as to do them.” He smiled gently into her beautiful eyes.
