During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

She quickly caught up to the ashen brute, racing up to chuckle a lighthearted comment before falling into place beside him, easily matching his pace and dodging the vertical aspects of the landscape despite her missing eye, but that was to be expected. She still reeked of newcomer, and some wolves wouldn’t understand the intrusion, but Rhundus’s musk was also there and that would hopefully dissipate any tension. Unexpectedly, the male felt his kissers tugging up into a meek smile, not a common emotion on his features. He glanced back at his company to see her doing fine, but that’s when a stranger’s stench reached his nares Sydney’s hackles instantly bristled like grass in the fall and she pulling in closer to his warm bulk. Was she really that insecure, or did she really feel that much of the pack already that a foreigner’s perfume set her on edge? Rhundus rolled his eyes, careful to let the femme not see. You didn’t count your eggs before they hatched, that was common sense. But she’d learn soon enough; sometimes experience was the best teacher.

They emerged into the clearing where Rhundus had first challenged the Alpha’s authority and there were already two souls occupying the space, Devil’s Angel and another foolish brute doing something that he didn’t care about. They stopped a few steps in from the edge of the underbrush and woody roots and his companion seemed to tense. Trying to act strong? Perhaps she thought she was in the presence of some great god? Sure, Devil’s Angel was the only lupe left in charge of accepting members, but she was still just an omega in the pack. He snorted to himself, closed his turquoise luminaries and shook out his thick pelt, a leaf or two drifting to the ground around his feet. Rhundus glanced over at the ebon hessian and made sure to catch his eye, a cool indifference floating between them. He was an important member of this pack; he would make sure everyone knew that fact, even the blackberry bushes and the river trout. Sydney waited until the other male was done until she began to advance towards Angel, a sense of determination in her pistons. Rhundus walked behind her and drug his plume along her platform, letting the lass know she had his support, but only as far as words were concerned. He could not control her actions, or Angel’s for that matter, and nothing was certain, but certainly she knew that well. The silver brujo continued on his course, watching the lass drop to her spine like a good little newcomer. He grinned a satisfied smirk, glanced up and caught Devils Angel’s portals with his own, giving only the raise of his eyebrows as a greeting.

Cutting through the middle of the clearing, Rhundus walked with lazy purpose as he made his way over to Angel’s ‘side’ of the grassy meadow. He picked a spot slightly behind and to the right of his fellow packmember and lowered his hinds to the soft, loamy earth, watching the action for a second before falling completely. He kept his chest puffed and high, cranium raised, icy pools piercing and steely cold. His back pistons stuck out to one side of his silhouette, banner thrown nonchalantly behind his rump. The pink monster within his maw made its way out, prying his muzzle opening and falling out to one side, nestled against the raised peak of his incisor. The action wasn’t out of exhaustion or heat, simply a lax move to occupy his time as he watched the movie unfold before him. Surely more wolves would come, mainly newcomers but whatever packmembers remained as well, although he hadn’t scented traces of very many the last few suns. Rhundus stretched his appendages, dark chocolate claws tearing into the brown soil, chin tucking in to his fluffy front. Who knew how long this would last, but at least it would be a welcome distraction to the dead monotony of his pack so far. Regaining the same stupid grin on his open muzzle, the strong he-beast watched Sydney from one ocular and the forest’s edge with the other, wondering which arena would spring into action first.
