The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

The beast laid on the cold, hard, stone that was the terrain under him. The darkness surrounded him like a blanket, making his belly, under tail, and audits seemingly gone and not a part of him, hiding in the blackness. The wolf was still, seeming not even breathing. But it you looked more closely, a bit so the darkness didn’t blind your vision, you could see the faint rise and fall of his sternum. Sleeping, you might think. But don’t let it fool you. His breathing is too quick to be in a deep slumber. If you step to close, his luminaries might open and, in one swift motion, he will jump and rip out your jugular. So you might want to stay back, and maybe even leave the beast be and leave the cavern of darkness. Of course. That is not the place’s true name. Of course, who knew anyone or anything’s true name. But if you want to know what the wolves call it, it is the Cavern of Secrets.

If you had left, that is a wise choice, but if you had stayed, you better get out now, for the beast stirs. Lifting his earth colored cranium, which looked like the color of very dark brown with no light showing in the cavern, he looked around his den like part of the cavern. He had been living here for the past couple of weeks. It was nice. The darkness concealed him and he could prey on the stupid wolves who travelled into these dens. Yes. Wolves. This beast loves the oh so delicious red liquid of his kin. Cannibalism. Most animals shunned it, and even his own kin shunned it. But he felt that whoever shunned him for doing what he loved was weak. Why not kill your own kin and rip into their flesh for a meal. Prey meat like elk, moose, hare, and mice wasn’t enough to sedate his hunger. Pillars and claws stretching from the demon’s bodice, his maw opened in a wide yawn, his sharp, glinting tools showing. His bodice rose from the stone under him and he stretched once again, shaking his body. A little rest felt good. His pillars moving to the darkest corner of the cavern, he dropped his crown into the shadow, and pulled back after gripping what he wanted. But what he wanted didn’t come loose that easily. He growled and ripped back his skull, throwing the object into the open. A skeleton. A wolf’s skeleton. Putting his front paws on the sternum of the skeleton, he ripped back his head again, finally detaching the bone he was trying to get. He smirked and went back to his spot, chewing on the hard white bone. It was a back leg bone.

But before he could break it open to get to the sweet marrow inside, a melody echoed through the cavern. It was close to him and even though it was calling all the strong, the beast ignored it, continuing to chew on the bone. Though he ignored the initial call, his audits perked and twitched as he wanted to see if anyone did answer the call. The slight breeze that flowed through the musty cave also carried their scents with them. There were three scents. But they were together, like they travelled together. Whoever these scents belonged to, they must be the ones who called. It wasn’t long before another smell wafted to him. Another wolf had joined the party. The slight breeze even carried their words to him. He must be pretty close in vicinity if he was able to hear the saying clearly. Whoever this newcomer was, he was a flirt. The beast could just tell by what they said and the tone of their voice. Then he announced his name, Cheshire, adding unnecessary adjectives to it. Next, the scent of a femme wafted to him. She spoke then, obviously showing disdain towards Cheshire he guessed and then introducing herself as Shiva. By then, the beast had cracked open the bone and gotten to the marrow inside. Finally!! Ignoring it fully now, he ate the inside quickly. When he was finished and he threw the bone into a pile of the appendages, already two more scents mixed in with the other ones. Maybe he missed the fun. Why was this guy attracting so many? Might as well check it out yes?

Raising from the ground, he went to the skeleton one more time, about to grab another bone, but decided not to and just turned around and started towards the gathering. It only took him a second for his pillars to get him to his desired place. He came out of the darkness like a demon out of smoke, seemingly out of nowhere. Ignoring the wolves, he went over to one of the four skeletons that littered the bigger cavern. Specifically the one that was sprawled out, trying to escape it’s tormentor. Of course, it did not. The demon made sure of that. Yes. For everyone wondering, this beast did kill all four of these wolves. He had ripped the meat off of the skeleton and then left the small scraps on the bone to decompose. After getting to the skeleton, he leaned down and grabbed the bone of the back leg, putting his front paws on the rib cage and ripping the bone away from the rest of the body. After grabbing his bone, he kicked the skeleton away and walked to the gathering. He walked straight to the middle wolf, which, judging by his posture and position, was the leader and the one who called. He dropped the bone and looked up at the brute. Before he spoke, his lips tugged upwards into a smile. A very creepy one. One of insanity. It was long after the smile that came his lyrics.

”Why hello there? Seems we have a bit of a gathering in my little home. Name’s Delom. I’m known as “The Bringer of Death”. And whatever you have called these wolves here for, I would like to join in. As long as you guys don’t touch my precious kills.”

With that last statement, he glanced towards the four skeletons around them. He then picked up his bone and walked to the edge of the group, laying down on the hard terrain and chewing on his bone again. He had laid between Cheshire and the girl Shiva, at least that’s what he guessed who they were. Though he seemingly didn’t appear to be paying attention, his jet black audits were perked and facing towards the leader of these wolves. For now, he just chewed on his precious bone of his kin.
