The buckskin kitten's head shifted slowly, her stormy eyes regarding the teleporting purple hued beast with a hint of minor agitation. This frequent change of location made it absolutely difficult for the fallen angel to remain guarded and alert but she was quite certain that she was in no immediate danger. After all, if the girl had wanted to harm her, surely she would have been easy prey. Her ears flickered ever so slightly as she listened to dragon-horse's voice but she failed to respond entirely, even ignoring the rumble of laughter upon those violet lips. Usually, Serafina was never one to back down for fun and games and though her irritation may have appeared out of character, there was still a part of her that got a thrill of all of this. A part of her was intrigued by the notion that the female had taken such an interest in her, had watched her enough to know her name and countless other facts about her. Oh yes, Celexa had caught her interest, but would she continue to hold it? The Southern Valkyrie's silver gaze followed the slinking serpent that stalked her like pray but her gaze was absent of fear or anxiety. Even as they came face to face, mere inches between their bodies, she still kept her placid façade intact.
She watched the jerking motions of the creature in front of her, listened to her cryptic response and a part of her drew understanding in that subtle meaning. She had seen that look before, the look of a monster staring out beneath equine flesh, of some great horror trapped within the body of another. Tick Tock had been her first experience with those of special abilities like transformation. Celexa, on the other hand, took it to a whole new level. It was enough to leave the girl inquisitive and certainly not at all put off. She watched the way her tail flicked, alluding to the possibility that beneath her purple hide rested not only a dragon but also a feral cat of some kind. Serafina couldn't help but to wonder what else lay dormant within her which naturally made her begin to question just how she had become what she was in the first place. It was all very curious and Serafina happened to like curious quite a bit. "I can see that." She responded ever so slight, her head tilting to the side as she eyed the female in front of her.
An ever so miniscule wrinkle of a frown crossed the angel's feminine features as the limelight turned into her direction. Though really, one had to wonder if it hadn't always been on her from the beginning of this encounter. It seemed that she wasn't the only one who had an overwhelming urge to pry, and she was quite taken back by the forward question. It was one she had recently been troubled with quite frequently with the prospect of her queen's dissatisfaction in her. However, while she might have torn one alliance to shreds, she had also done quite well within the past week to increase their ranks. It was almost a tit for tat situation. Almost. Still, there was something about the inqury that made her stop and take stock of her situation. Surely Tiberius had been a deciding factor in her presence and certain the Oracle's request to look after Tia Maria. But the goddess queen had slowly returned enough to the waking world to no longer need her constant watch and yet, here she remained. "There is still much work to be done here, the queen may have finished grieving but she is still far too busy with her own affairs to pay any mind to her kingdom - and so I have done. I suppose it really is useless in the end isn't it? It won't matter what I do here, they'll all be servants to her, pledging themselves to her. Perhaps that's what a good concile is, the power behind the figurehead of the empire. When I have made the South powerful once again, then perhaps I will leave. That sounds stupidly selfless doesn't it?" She couldn't help but to giggle ever so slightly, even Serafina recognized the silliness of it all. Why bother creating a band of individual loyal to the South, why bother pushing them in the right direction and dedicating time to then when it was to be overlooked? Was she really that humble? Certainly not. There had to be another reason, something even she wasn't yet ready to admit to herself.
