I just can't defer. Who's to say we do encounter the same weather next year or a cold rainy day with the wind in your face. This is the hand we have been dealt so we have to meet the challenge. I'll change my goals and plan to be out there longer but making sure I get enough fluid in. As a side note they are actually closing the course to traffic for an additional hour this year to give the runners more time to complete the course.
