Of course being co-owner of valley of shadows I did see this and at first it was because other members were like really unique? Flesh eatting disease COME ON!
But yeah once you get past the inital and of course we read through the site and were like yes ok its post apacaliptoc like us, ruined world, like us, has a disease that rots away at the horses flesh, like us. The way the disease does so is not the same, ours is all player based, genetics for carying the disease and passing it on and such and it is player choice hopw their character is effected once they get it and they can avoid it (well try to) this is diffrent to how the game in question runs their disease. Also the outcomes are diffrent, on VoS they can die from it in the end of course if you rot away you die but they die thats it and its player choice. Game in question they die but are made into imortals with powers and such. Diffrent!
As for the powers dano anything about what people are saying there because I dont play those sort of rpgs at all.
Honestly I think its the unique claim that annoys some people. I know thats what annoyed people on our end. Who went flesh eatting disease is not unique because we have that and we have been around for over 3 years I think it is since Poss made the game.
Really it was not my idea so I cant get to fussed. It was Poss's and well shes not around anymore at all. (Yes she would probably be a bit peeved because she is that sort of person trust me but shes not here!)
I think its just be careful of wording unique and original. Yes the way the diffrent ideas are put together are a unique but the base ideas are not unique or original.
Ok it annoyed me at first Ill be honest because the flesh rotting disease has always been our claim of originality, most people know us because of it even if its the only thing they know. People on DA who dont even rp know who we are because of the rotting pony pics on DA people will comment and say that must be for that rpg valley of shadows! Because thats what we were known for.
But hell no idea is completly original or never done. Rotting flesh has probably been done a million times of course! maybe not in horse rpgs that I had seen but books, movies etc.
I honestly have no hard feelings now, hell I was gona head over and place a sister site request because we are similar we should be sisters!
