Hassan was presently in the process of losing his mind.

The rust-colored Aidi was prone to fits of hyperactive worry, it was true; he was overexertive in his worry for the well-being of his sister, and that same overprotection kicked in when dealing with her offspring, the three wonderful boys whose care had been entrusted to him. But what had he gone and done? Lost one, of course; lost one of his own nephews, his own kin! It was, for Hassan, an act worthy of excommunication, if not death. How he could manage to be so forgetful, so stupid, and so inattentive was absolutely baffling to the sherpherding dog. His kind was bred by man to herd, Gods curse him, and yet what had he managed to do but lose a valuable member of his tiny, beloved flock?

Sia's disappearance had been explained rapidly by Faris, who had gone into great detail about the male who had taken him; the feminine boy had an eye for attention to detail, that was for sure. Hassan would search for the smoky black pup as soon as time permitted, but presently his attention was focused like a laser beam on the two boys he hadn't managed to lose track of. The brown dog had gathered Faris and Neo quickly and told them to return in all haste to the gang, an act that took a bit of corralling and eventually some coercion to accomplish. He had not been unkind, as even in his panic it was not in his nature, but he had been forceful, and at least in Faris' case his utter craziness at losing Siamak had stirred some pity.

So they had returned, and sat now at the top of a hill, shaded from the rays of the setting sun by one of the infrequent trees in the outer territory. Faris looked out, boredly, at the lands he knew well, long jaws stretching and eyes closing briefly in a yawn. Stupid Sia. Of course he had to go get their uncle all riled up by agreeing to go to some stupid place, to get trained for some stupid pack... Hmph. Well. His elder brother could have fun being a knight while he reaped the benefits of being princess, he thought, flipping his tail and flopping dramatically on his brother.

Hassan's amber eyes searched the terrain vigilantly, ears pricked and nose quivering as he sought one of the big cats with whom he shared a home. He had to pass off the baton of guardianship to one of them before his inattention led to some other small disaster - and, hopefully, before this "Lord Ned" character got too far away with Siamak...

The outer territory is a field with long grasses, hills, and a few sparse trees. It is rather large and prey can be found here, though large herds tend to stick in the hunting grounds of the main Wolf Mountain.
