Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Limbs followed each other, one after the other, as the grey male made his way up the mountain. He carefully tracked the terrain, waiting as the mist wafted over the grey outjuts, leaping when the greyness retracted and he could see where he was going. It wouldn't do to step on something sharp within the first three minutes of his arrival. The area certainly was treacherous that it wouldn't take much more than a slip of the mind to loose something vital. Of course, paying that much attention to you surroundings, you can't really pay attention to the views around you, which was the whole reason that I came up here in the first place. It would be a shame if I missed it, so why not take a breather? Leaping up to a fairly solid rock, I setlled in, tucking my tail under my legs and rolling my shoulders back.
To say that the veiw was breathtaking would be an understatement. I don't think that I have seen anything as amazing as what was before my eyes. If I had ever wondered why the Greek gods built their village-place on top of a mountain, I had my answer. Miles and miles of vibrant green ran across the land, dotted by the occasional forest ofr body of water. I sat there a moment, just content to stare accross the land at the beauty before me. Hmm. This would be a great place to go on a crappy day. It would turn the day around, just to watch the day pass by.
I wasn't so distracted by the gloriousness that I didn't here the smallest rustle of grass behind me. Years of combat training had me spinning on my heels into a defensive position, but it was wasted. The only sign of anything that could have made that noise was retreating into a small cave that I hadn't notice before, the only glimpse I got being a low slung tail and patchy black fur.
Hmm, maybe a new friend. Curiously, I poked up, my nose and tail down in a gesture meaning that I meant no harm. I stuck my head down into the hole. Hello? My call was met with no reply, just a slight hunkering down. I frowned. Way to crimp my flow. Cocking my head, I thought of ways to get her to talk. I am a determined person, and we were having a conversation if it took me the rest of my life. Fianlly, I just settled at the mouth of the cave.
Beautiful view, no? I asked, staring out at the mist shrouded landscape again.
