aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

The female hated how she felt that Cody took pity on her. It alarmed her when he nuzzled her. At first she just froze then she gently nuzzled him back. When he pulled away she blushed and averted his beautiful cyan pools, shy. She was never shy exept for now, with him. When his voice hit her towers she had no chioce but to look at him again. A shy smile stretched beautifully across her features.
"Thank you, Cody."
Those two words had never held so much emotion as they did when they escaped her maw. She saw a flash of want on Cody's face when he looked in the direction she knew his pack was. After a moment's contemplating, she had decided what to do.
"You go. Be with your pack now. I can just..... sleep."
As soon as the words left her mouth she knew they were a lie. She couldn't sleep. Not now and not anytime soon. If she tried to drift away, get some rest, then nightmares haunted her. They were deformed memories, things that had hurt her turned much more sinister. No, she wouldn't be able to sleep. But she would not be a interference to Cody's life either. As long as she knew that he would come back to her she would let him go. As the saying goes, "if you love something set it free. if it comes back it's yours if it doesnt, it never was." Well, not saying that she loves him but, she had let Cody go once and he had come back. Now she would have to do it again. His next words sparked hope in her.
"Do you think ? But its been so long. Since weeks before i first met you. I've searched high and low...."
An inaudible whimper vibrated in her throat. She glanced around herself to see if Zag would magically apear. He didn't so she looked back at Cody. He looked a little awkward, unsure of what to do. A small smile on her maw, Zig got slowly to her feet. Her legs still felt sort of unsteady but she managed ok. Then her honey gaze turned to her snowy friend.
"Well, lets go. I can't just stay here all day. Besides, i have an idea where we will both benefit."
Her brown timber limbs carried her at a measured walk in the general direction of Aurora Borealis. Not wanting to think about anything super serious to her right now she threw her head over her shoulder.
"So Cody, how was your trip ? What did you do ? You were gone for a good while."
Simple, easygoing conversation would be good for the girl. When she had gotten up, she realized that Cody had grown and now was an inch or two taller than her. Now her head tilted up to meet the boy's gaze. She waited for Cody to catch up then walked next to him. The timber coated ess waited patiently for her friend's reply.
She led him along the river's edge, following each bend and twist. Soon, the river's delta was coming into view. Finding a fairly shallow area, she slipped into the liquid.
"Come on, Cody. Just a short distance to the other side. Then a little more walking."
Her vocals were thrown back to the lad as she swam. She was a fairly good swimmer but had small paws and legs so it took her a bit to get to the opposite bank of the river. Upon arriving there, she gave her pelt a furious shake. Then she scanned the area carefully as she had everywhere else they had gone. Still, no sign of her brother was spotted. She shook her head slowly.
"Romance River."
The two words were mumbled, her tone made it clear she thought she would never find her brother here anyways. Her honey gazers looked back to her alabaster companion, the blue flecks in them sparkling in the sunlight. Once he was across with her she began the journey again.
The walk was not far now and took little time. Before she knew it, Zig and Cody were standing on the boarder of Aurora Borealis. Zig shot a nervous glance at Cody and took a deep breath. She let it out in a howl meant to alert the pack that she was there on the boarder. There were no real words in the cry, just the single note. When her voice faded away, Zig just stood there awkwardly, unsure of what to do.

ooc; well that was just craptastic.. sorry guys. :P
