Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

“That’s a beautiful name. Yoki.” Jazz said, playing with the syllables on his tongue, committing the sounds to memory. It was a foreign name, but one that he didn’t want to forget. He was still determined that the two of them were going to be as thick as thieves, and was pleased at the progress. That’s probably why he was so shocked at her next words.
“Sorry? Whatever do you have to be sorry for? I’m the one that should be apologizing, being all nosy and invading your time. Very well, though, consider it forgiven.” He said, staring at her oddly. He suddenly felt bad, having made her go all knock-kneed in fear. Staring at his paws in shame, he spent the next few moments hitting himself over the head mentally at his nature. Damn him and his not leaving things alone!
He turned his attention back to her as she spoke again. “Nature is a force of beauty.” He watched the creatures below him carry out their business. “Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if there wasn’t wolves to change it. How much more beautiful it would be, if our paws didn’t tread over everything, if we didn’t eat what’s here. Silly, I know, hating my own species, but it seems so sad to change something so beautiful.” He said, staring wistfully over the land, and at the wolves, roughly the same size as ants, working their way through the grasses and hills of the land.
“It’s nice to meet you to. I can now say you are the first person I have met. Congratulations, to both you and me.” He said teasingly, returning her hesitant smile with a radiant one of his own. “Being the nosy person I am, I must ask, where did you come from? I was born into the rich and luscious lands of a place to the north or so from here. I had a great life, but there was always something missing. So, being the brat I am, I turned tail with a goodbye and left, traveling until I got here. Silly, no? Only now do I realize how stupid it was to leave what I knew. But there I go talking on and on about me. What about you?” he asked, turning back to face her and raising an eyebrow. He hoped she didn’t find answering that uncomfortable. He knew that he was a little prince, having grown up in a shaded life with a loving family and constant protection. Self-defense classes to boot. At the same time, he knew that not all lives were as kind as his own. He had an inane urge to find out what that was like at the moment, and he wondered if her past was as tragic as her eyes told.
