WHEN THE SKY IS FALLING
LATE TEEN || LOVELESS || FATHER TO NONE || OMEGA || AURORA BOREALIS || RANMA

Something was up. Cody could sense it. The sound of a pack meeting rung into his ears; he knew what this meant. The sound was... not like before. Immediately, he knew many things; the pack wasn't the safe place he had first experienced, Akina was not the current Alpha, though her scent was still strong, but different. Cody stood from his position, his bright eyes in the direction of the pack meeting. His mind was a little indecisive at first, but pack meetings usually also welcome newcomers as well. His white body moved slowly at first, his black leg contrasting against the sweet floors of Aurora Borealis. "Zig, come with me. Be silent, stay as close to me as possible." this wasn't a question and decision for Zig to take. Cody's ever-soft voice turns serious; a serious that almost no one can simply shoo away or ignore. His paws touch against the soft earth as he brings Zig to his side, his tail almost curling protectively over her. His eyes were serious, along with his whole body, slowly jogging towards the meeting, but being extremely careful to keep Zig near and safe. He didn't want to worry her, but he wasn't certain as to what was going on so he couldn't explain to Zig. His gaze turns to Zig gently, nodding lightly, signaling her to follow what he does, be careful. The last thing he would want is Zig to be hurt within his home; if he was still welcomed here.
His clean white body came near the meeting area, and he silently slipped in, listening intently to who seemed to be the alpha's voice. Her words pierced through him. Cody, the silent boy felt a sharp pain. Specially hearing of the young ones lost. Anger swelled up within him, but Cody would simply stay silent. He takes a deep breath, his facial expression only showing attentiveness. Cody still carried the smell of Aurora faintly with him, but he moved closer, his white body brushing up tightly agaisnt Zig's for protection. Obviously these wolves were on high alert, and yes, he recognized quite a few. It took him quite a bit, until the alpha had handed out ranks, to notice Vela. Vela. He couldn't deny it, she had grown onto him. How exactly, Cody was not sure. Love? Couldn't be. He knew her for the while he was at Aurora, and she was... his friend. His sweet friend. A light smile tugs at his lips as he feels relief. He sees Akina, not in her best state, but she's here still. Vela as well. Relief. Which is quickly swallowed up by guilt. If only Cody hadn't been so selfish, hadn't been so stupid to leave. He could have protected. He could have helped. He could have... been there to offer his all. A low growl rumbles softly within his own throat. Probably the first growl in months, that comes from him.
Zig tightly by his side, he turns to her, and his cyan orbs look at her softly, as in telling her to stay put. He steps forward, after some painful words from a pup to his mother. He doesn't know how to help the alpha or pup feel better about these things, so he says what comes to mind. What will hopefully offer some warmth to this pack who has fallen victim to those without hearts. "He's... hurt. Confused. You're strong." His soft tender voice offering some comfort after such words from a pup. But it's true. The pup had no reason to hate his mother, none at all. It wasn't her fault.. it was his fathers. Though, Cody was unsure of his words... he was never really good at helping others feel better. He was an amazing listener. Words were something completely different. "I am Cody, an old member of this proud pack,"He speaks, pausing lightly, not being too straight out. Proud pack. This pack needed lifting, and it would surely come. "and i have come back to my rightful home, along with my friend, Zig." He says, and turns to Zig, pointing her out so that she not be confused as an enemy. It isn't long before Cody's honey-coated tenor voice is on the go again, this time, the tone stronger, bigger. For Cody, those who knew him of course, this was big. His sweet voice almost never moved pitches or tone. "That is, if i am welcomed here." He finishes, and awaits. For approval, perhaps, but also for the lift. Many seemed to have a sad tone in their voices, in their bodies. Cody, out of all wolves, knew this was very reasonable.
But if Aurora Borealis was to show itself as being more than a 'weak' or targeted pack, this tone would have to end. Cody knew his words had probably not helped many; his words were not the strongest. But hopefully everyone around his understood his message. Aurora Borealis wolves can take a hit, and still be strong and alive. Of course, this wouldn't be easy, but Cody was ready for anything. Even if he was rejected into coming back to his home, he knew he would somehow try to help. For Akina, for Vela, for the pack. His body was not the strongest looking, it was not the most impressive, and he, as others may say, may same as a 'lame wolf'. But this was something that had not come out of him in a very long time. He knew it. It was his spirit.Looks aren't everything. His white body moves, closer to Vela, his azure gaze locking on to her, giving her a light rub of affection with his muzzle and head, the kind of touch that says i miss you and i'm sorry for leaving. He tries not to attract attention from it, and waits along with Zig for a decision.
