Letter to Ms. Doyle

Dear Ms. Doyle,
Hi, I just would like to tell you that I enjoyed your monthly teachings very much and learned a great amount from them. Your teachings made me think and made me have an experience, which I had never felt before. The activity that we did that had the biggest impact on me was each time we looked in depth on our biases and allowed ourselves to express ourselves to the class. To me that was the best part of any activity we had ever done, it made me feel closer to everyone around me and made me feel that I can actually relate to people other than my own ethnicity. Well what I discovered about my own unconscious bias is really nothing I never really had any biases to begin with and when teaching this class I had a better perspective and understanding that I really do not have any biases at all. I never felt the need to judge anyone by his or her ethnicity but I did have a great amount of dislike to for the human race in general. Hearing your teachings allowed me to build a certain amount of tolerance and patience with everyone in general. I know that I still have a lot to learn from my misanthropic views but I know that someday I can appreciate my place on this world and the differences between everyone. What I most liked about your presentations is I could not really talk about a flaw that it had. I felt that your presentations were perfectly coordinated and I right away knew that the planning for each one was handled with great care. The interaction was fantastic and I felt that with a little more interaction and group discussions it would boost the great experience even more. I hope you can continue to teach this course to high school students because I feel that you are the only one who can do it right and well. I would not know anyone else who can relate to high school students as well as you can and I would imagine everyone else who teaches him same subject would be old and ill informed on how you can reach out to a student on a very personal level.
