Walk as the egyptians do [open]

What happened to his herd? The few mares he had traveling with him after he left the pledged land had disappeared over night. It was possible they had wondered off, left him, or perhaps even a cougar got to them. He tried not to think that a mare could have left him because they didn't like him so he just played it like they walked off a cliff or something. So anyway he left his birth home and followed his mother's herd and his half sister, who he had sworn to protect, to the new land they were seeking out. Once they had arrived in the promise land (so to speak) he decided it was time to break off from his family and start life on his own. So he had taken his herd elsewhere and somewhere between his travels they were lost to him.

Then by some sort of luck he ran into a unknown mare who turned out to be his little half sister from his mother. He instantly became close with her and learned that their mother had left the valley along with his other half sister, her full sister, and his half sister from his father's side was pregnant with her first child. He wished he could have been there to see Meris grow and have her first son or daughter, but he knew she was doing well. She had been an girl of pure innocence the last time had had been with her. Capricorn has dedicated himself to Meris and tried his best to protect her from attackers and rouge stallions such as the brute Bullet who had captured her and planned to rape her when she came of age.

He had been born with a limp though and couldn't do much, but thankfully he had the herd mare Mara there to help out and finally their father showed up to save them all. Cap was like his father in some ways and like his mother in others, but his dam wished him to be more like her. There were certain painful memories she saw in him and things she hoped he never followed, but she couldn't stop who he was to become. Never mind all that sad stuff though and lets get to the story at hand.

The frosted chestnut finally had his own place to call home on these islands. Paradise. It wasn't as wonderful as the desert sands under his hooves, but the beach sand was still nice. This place was beautiful and seemed almost too unreal to be his, but it was and he hoped to one day fill it with a family of his own like the herds before him had. His thin legs brought him to a waterfall which dumped fresh water into the stream below it. His head lowered to drink and the cool gulps of water that he took quenched his thirst and left him just wanting more. He couldn't wait until he dreams of a family came true and he could make something of himself here, no matter how small that something was. He wanted to leave his mark just as anyone did. His dusty red colored head lifted towards the sky as a cold breeze send a shiver down his spine. It was the winter months like this when he would really wish he lived on a desert, but how could he give up such beauty?

\Home sweet home./
