Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.
Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Setting off at a brisk pace,Reyna started for RR.Reaching the place where it met with the Lake was easy,It turned out to be not far from where she had been resting.She started onwards,Staying close to the River.It was a long walk and she had to rest a moment or two far too many times for her liking.Of course,She knew this would be a long journey,But she hadn’t realized how trying it would be on her.But she righted herself quickly.She was Reyna,The renowned assassian.The white death.The demon you never saw coming.This would be a piece of cake!She had traveled farther in worse conditions before!So she could do this.Of course she could.She was Reyna.Trotting at a brisk pace,She was soon wrinkling her nose at the harsh smell of a pack border.As she neared,Her lip curled upwards.Gawd,Didn’t they know not to over-mark?She shuddered with disgust and decided not to stop right there,It could be dirty.She continued her brisk pace,Guessing that she would shortly be near Adoption Meadow.She glanced at the sky,Nodding to herself when she saw the sun was still high in the sky.She supposed she was lucky,Thanks to the water she had woken up early and had her breakfast and a small break while the sun was still rising.She could already tell it would be a warm day.If it was pleasant enough in the morning,Then it would be rather warm in the middle of the day and perhaps it would cool off or stay the same temperature in the evening.She shrugged her shoulders lightly as she noted the border of Adoption Meadow just ahead.She nodded in a self-satisfied way,Pleased at how high the sun was and how far she had come along.She paused to let herself a moment of rest and lapped up some of the chilled water.With that done,The vixen started off again,This time in the water.The briskness energized her and kept her going.And it seemed she was near Bright Moon with a blink of an eye.The sun had crawled to the middle of the sky by now and hunger was setting in.Hissing a sharp word to her stomach to stop growling,She galloped gaily through the water,Sending up splash that rained down on her hot back. Sighing quietly at the cool relief on her back,She guessed that she was just about half-way through the territory.She trotted through the river and soon was at PP.Trotting uphill,The snowy queen paused at the mud near by.She leapt in and began to roll about,Until she was coated in a thick layer that concealed her fur.
Now she could hunt.She trotted through the tail grass,Looking about.Noticing a goat with its calf,She grinned.She crouched down and made sure that the wind was in her favor.She headed towards the pair and was soon within striking distance.With a harsh snarl,She lunged towards the mother.Without a second thought it seemed,It took off,Bleating.With a curved smirk,She watched as the calf started to stumble after its mother.She over took it quickly and bite into the back of its neck.Grinning in a satisfied way,She dragged her kill towards the river.She crouched in the forest along the river and tore into the prey,Snapping up the meat with powerful crunches of her jaws.Swallowing the last bite of meat from the carcase,She rose to her paws.She trotted into the river to wash away the blood before starting towards Staircase Falls.She reached there just as the sun started to sink.Wincing at the thought of her pelt being so visible in the light,She reluctantly started to head towards the mountain.She was about the drop dead with exhaustion,But she had to plow through.She was Reyna for gawds sake!She sat down to catch her breath and rest a little before starting up the mountain.The cool rocks underpaw made her tense muscles relax. She continued to trot uphill,Breathing it the cold mountain air.She knew that she should enjoy the cool while it lasted.Soon even the Mountain would be taken over by summer heat and she would have to result in laying in caverns and caves to keep cool.Then again,She hadn’t had a friend since…Him.She felt a small shudder of grief sweep through her.”Oh...Jase.Why.Why?”She breathed softly,Looking up at the darkening sky.She felt a tear slide down her check,And she shook her head to ride herself of the grief.No.She wouldn’t think of him.She couldn’t.What would he say if could see her now.He’d be angry with me.She thought to herself.No,Not angry,Disappointed.Very disappointed with me.He would want to know why,Why I became this…This..Monster.She looked to the side,Not able to look infront of herself.She didn’t want to think about him.He had vanished,And then Óbito had told her that Jase had fallen off the cliff…She let out a choked sob,Her body heaving with the tears that feel onto her paws.She trembled with sadiness.She shook her head to rid herself of the tears.No,He wouldn’t allow tears.He never had.And he never would have.She was the murder.If she hadn’t suggested that he and Óbito go hunting for goats on the cliffs,He would still be with her.And maybe,Maybe she would have acted on the love that had blossomed for him and perhaps by now they could be mates and have a litter of cubs running under-paw.And they would be a family.A real family.Not like the one she had come from.One where she was loved,One where she was welcomed,One where she was the one that the young looked up to.One where she was special.But that was not her life.It was never going to be her life.Because of her.She almost howled with grief.She shuddered with grief but shook her whole body to shake away the grief.She headed upwards,Determined to find out what the sign meant.She swallowed hard.And forced one paw infront of the other.She was shaking from head to toe.She could do this.She had to.She had to.She plowed on,Tears brimming in her dark eyes.Jase.Her Jase.Gone.Forever.She remembered her sisters,Trying their hardest to comfort her in her time of grief.They knew what he had meant to her.Her throat felt tight and her eyes were prickling with unshed tears.She breathed hard,Gulping in a harsh breath of the cool air.She wouldn’t cry,She wouldn’t Cry.She wouldn’t.Moving forward,She headed upwards.
And then,It was there.The smell that was in her mind,Forever.His smell.No,Jase was dead.He was dead and he wasn’t coming back.But there was his smell.The mixed smell of pine trees and dirt along with that oddly fresh smell of water.How?He had died.Óbito had told her.Had…Had he lied?But why?Why would he lie?Was there something wrong with Jase?She didn’t think so.She shook her head.Jase.Jase.Jase.His name rolled off her tongue and she suddenly she was calling it.”Jase!Jase!Jase,Where are you?!”And suddenly she was running,Running straight for his sent.She could see a form,And then it was him.The lean frame,The russet and black fur.The bright blue eyes.She could tell.It was him.It was her Jase.”Jase.Oh Jase.”She breathed with tears of happiness brimming in her eyes.This was her Jase.The one she was lied to about.The one who was supposedly dead.But he wasn’t.He wasn’t.He was living and breathing,Right infront of her.She leaned forward to nuzzle his neck fur,Like she had the day he had….Vanished.She let her salmon tongue slide from her mouth to caress the side of his ear before she backed away.She didn’t want to.She didn’t want to leave the touch of his fur.”It’s me,Jase,It’s me.Reyna.”She said will tears began to trickle down her white checks.Her Jase.Right here.Right here.Alive.Breathing.Dazed,It looked like.But breathing.And alive.Alive.Alive.She shuddered,Wondering why he had lied to her.Why?Why?Why?But it didn’t matter.Her Jase was right here.Her Jase.Her Jase.The love of her life.The only love that she had ever had.
