The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

(( Sorry it took so long :( ))

Tjikiju ran her tongue around her lips, savouring the taste of the rabbit. She was full, her stomach was too small to take a big meal straight away, but somehow she felt she could eat rabbit, after rabbit, after rabbit and still eat more. It was the most magnificent taste in the world. Well, perhaps not most, now that she came to think about it. She could remember, rather vividly, the taste of the great northern muskox. They were so very dangerous to bring down, so thick-coated and well-armed they could kill a wolf with a single kick. But boy, were they worth it. Ti often wondered whether the wolves of the southern lands knew how easy they had. No ploughing through snow drifts that could swallow a wolf whole, no chasing after deadly prey when less than one in ten resulted in success. But then, risking a glance to her companion, she hardly thought the old male was soft.

Smiling, more to herself than anything, the elder listened as Saladin spoke once more. "So let me get this right. You are originally from a land that well.. Obviously snows. Your parents were alphas and then your brother took over? There was a blizzard, snow storm.. Whatever, you got lost and found your way here? Makes sense to me." She nodded as he summed up her story, glad that he understood her. She had found the language barrier to be a problem with some of the.... well, the less bright, but luckily that wasn't the situation here. Her family pack had had many guests and visitors while she'd lived there, many had been all too willing to share the language. Of course, it had helped that many others in the pack already knew it well, enabling them to make contact with other packs when necessary. Still, she would always prefer her mother tongue, the words were comfortingly familiar, a reminder of who she was and where she came from.

As Saladin carried on, Ti looked up quite sharply, surprised by his admission. "Tjikiju. Have you any idea how darn cute your voice is? I genuinely don't mean to cause offense, I just can't help but express how much of a smile it brings to my face. You hear that alot, hmm? She had never considered her voice to be smile-inducing, she often found the accent of strangers far more interesting than her own. But she was happy he found her voice pleasant, she felt the same way about his. Well, not that it was cute, but it was gruff and rugged, it spoke of a long and eventful life, of strength and authority. Tjikiju had always been taught that a real male spoke deep and powerful, she was not impressed by a creature that spoke with the voice of a whelp.

Smiling with a little self-conscious shyness, Tijikiju let her tail brush the dirt in content gladness. "Haha, always like bring smile. Though cute is new word, sound like good thing, mmm. Find you voice much nice, sound like röskja, hmm, thunder, yes yes? Deep rumble. Like this southern tongue, sound so.. different to ears. Much different about south, too warm sometime, but beautiful. Very green, mhmm, much much green. All colour like of rainbow." She paused for a moment, a sharp pain causing her breath to catch. Her ribs were far from healed, probably due to the state she had let herself fall into, which was due to the trauma of the incident. Tjikiju had always been a happy soul, such a feeling was alien to her.

Shaking her head to rid herself of such gloomy thoughts, the old wolf returned her gaze to her new companion, watching him silently for a moment, before speaking once more. "Have ever be north, Saladin?" She savoured his name on her tongue, now that she finally had it, liking it's foreign tones, just as she had liked Seline's. "See great, hmm, mountains? Walk cross big lake, so cold turn to ice. Hunt in deep snow or lay close when saivrdui, when snow-winds come. Cold summer, colder winter. Much hard life, lose many friend, but not change for anything." Tjikiju chuckled, realizing that she'd started rambling again. But then, she did love the north.
