Before the newcomer could answer El Aran’s question, hoofbeats off to one side signaled the approach of another equine. The black mare turned one ear, then her entire head to watch as they were joined by Encantador. Her other ear joined it’s mate in twisting back but she did not quite flatten them as she returned her attention to the mare whom her partner introduced. It was not lost on El Aran that there had been a shadow of something in his eyes akin to what she thought had shown on his face during their last interaction. She did not like what she saw there. If he had no made it obvious immediately that he knew Misty, the desert mare might have questioned why he had joined them. Pushing her ears forward, she pressed a flat smile on her lips, one that did not reach her eyes. Shifting on her feet, the seer resettled her weight and leaned toward Encantador without quite touching him. She recalled the way the dunskin had reached out to touch her before the storm, the wind from the sea tangling his mane in his face and obscuring his dark eyes with long ropy strands before she’d bit him. El Aran did not engage in idle touching. "Well," she said, recalling herself to her duties. "Welcome indeed. You may call the Desert your home." She flicked her tail, driving flies away.
