DALLIANCE
It's like forgetting the words to your favorite song.
Ash. That was the first thing she identified in this quiet place. The substance covered the top layer of soil and could be brushed away completely with more than a few swipes of a paw. The other side of the field was blanketed entirely by flowers of blue, red, yellow, and many other vibrant colors.
It was a wonder the traces of a long-gone fire had effect on only half of the field full of flowers. Those who the wolf had passed had almost instantly named it as Blossom Field. It was a fitting name.
Dear Dalliance had barely arrived at Blossom Forest, and already she could see the possible extent of havoc wreaked by a natural disaster. It seemed that not all places were whole and perfect like her previous home; however, the promises of adventure were what had brought the female wolf to leave her familiar surroundings.
She continued on through the soot, fur rippling white and gray in faint reflections of sunlight.
