The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

The girl trotted across the terrain of the territory. She was worse than before. Her paws dragged on the terrain, her banner grazing the ground, dust collecting on her fur and making it a brown color. Her thoughts were a jumble in her mind. Pieces floating around like pieces of a puzzle in a cloud of white treadles of thoughts. Her luminaries were glazed over, the look in them distant, like she wasn’t actually in her surroundings. She had gotten there too late. Too late. She should of went sooner. As soon as she heard the sounds of her in pain. How could she?!?! She had not made it in time. She had tried to help. Tried to encourage the girl as she struggled through her labor. But she couldn’t. The girl had watched as her breathing had slowed. She had watched as she stopped trying to get the pups out. She had watched as the light faded from the other’s optics, leaving them dull and soulless. She had not done anything. Not anything to try and help her. To try and not let her die. She had let the girl die in front of her own paws!!!

Her head lowered more to the ground, as tears welled up in her luminaries. How could she? CLOVER was the only one that she liked in this pack. The only one that she thought was her friend. Sure, Calix was nice but she didn’t really think of him as a friend like she did like CLOVER. Now she pretty much had no one, since she had not even scented the male each time she left the den to hunt. Where was he? If anything, he was her second best. A pain made her stop mid thought and mid step as she whined. It emanated from her stomach. It was whining for more food. But she had no energy to hunt. None at all. She had to go through the pains every day, since she only found and actually caught a meal every, maybe 2 to 3 days. And even then, they were small. Like rabbits at most. So she was hungry. And insanely thin for a wolf. She bet a loner was more healthy than her. She was pretty much skin and bones, her ribs showing though her fur covered part of it, so she didn’t look as bad as she did.

A scent caught her attention. It was close. Like about a couple of feet away close. Lifting her head, which was quite a lot of work, her luminaries took a while to focus, for everything was a blur. When her optics finally adjusted and focused, what she saw had her frozen. The male that was standing in front of her was the last wolf she wanted to see. Calix. Why him?!?! Out of all the wolves she had to run into, it was him. Why was he here anyway?! No. She shouldn’t think about that. She couldn’t let him see her. She slowly started to back away. One paw at a time. Just slowly. One paw at a ti- SNAP!! ………Damn. Stupid twig. The girl nearly jumped out of her pelt when the sound emanated from the ground and she froze. Oh Tor!! Oh Tor!! Oh Tor!! Please. Please don’t let the male notice her. Please make him not hear the twig. She closed her eyes and prayed to the god and also to CLOVER, who was somewhere up there.
