to timothy's parents. i dont know if you remember me but i was tim's roommate at north east. you fixed my brothers bike for me to give to him for christmas when me and my mother had nothing to give. you came around alot even when tim was gone. me and tim did not always get along as young children often do not but he thaught of me as his best friend, i was told by others. he saved my life once. i dont know if you knew. i was a nice kid but tried to fit in with the others so i picked on an easier target than me. tim! i always knew it was wrong but lacked the integrity to stand up. i was a troubled kid to. one day we were in our rooms and he was ignoring me and would not let me watch his tv. we were fighting like kids do. so i was making jokes. cruel jokes. he often told the staff he would hurt himself so no one took him serious since it never happened. so i poked fun at that. i wraped my belt around our coat rack and leaned over and heald on to it like i was going to hang myself. he ignored it the whole time. didnt even speak back to me. so i kept at it trying to get a responce, until i sliped. see i was wearing socks standing on a polished wooden frame on my bed and sliped. i was hanging there and passed out imedietly. he looked after nt hearing my voice anymore ran over picked me up and set me on the floor and called for help. needless to say i was dumb founded and ashamed. they took me away thaught i was suicidal. i never got a chance to say sorry and thank him. when i was given the news about tim it seemed no one cared and i was the only one who reacted. he gave me somthing that i can never forget and carry with me always. he showed me who the worst one of us was. that when you(I) have an opportunity or advantage over some one you share it and help when and how you can. every one deserves a second and third chance. i could have helped tim. i give every one iv come in contact with from then, the courtesy and understanding from moment one that i did not give to a good child. every one deserves a ear and a friend even the quiet and un-friendly! i thank you Tom o'clair. your guestures and kind wordds to a 12 year old boy speak in volume still today.
