Fyra's explanations and nervous words fell on deaf ears for the moment. Kite knew now what was going on, but he wasn't sure how he should handle it, yet. The brute was now feeling quite beat up after his, now second fall, from trees. He never would get completely used to it, but he was happy that he at least tolerated them well. It wasn't his first time falling from a tree, or even the sky, he was growing tolerant to such things... However one thing did not escape the orange ears and that was the scared shriek of his name. So she did care? The thought pleased him, but also now that he had a better idea of what was going on, concerned him in equal measure. He realized everything now, but still he didn't want to just leave her like that... He wanted to talk to her about it and meet her again, selfish, he knew it but still...
He let out a rather strained chuckle at her worried words, "Sorry." He said still chuckling lightly. "I was trying to make a more 'graceful' entrance." He admitted achingly raising himself back up to his paws. So maybe a rib /might/ have been broken, but he wasn't about to tell Fyra that.
As he slowly raised himself into a more dignified position and smiled at her. "I know, I know." he said at her chastising remarks. "I'm okay." He said, though not really believing it himself. "To be honest though, I wasn't really thinking." His tail gave a small wave, ignoring her growls. "Are... You okay?" he asked, seeing some of the indecision in her gaze. He looked around, golden eyes scanning the woods for a moment, content for the time that they were alone, he returned them back onto Fyra, hoping that she would stick around for at least a little while.
