I Caught A Falling Star

Maero smiled, a chuckle echoed itself out of her being. "Fayte, don't struggle with what to ask me. I'm sure you want to know more than if I came last night, but no, I did not. This morning, however, I found to my dazement that I ended up here and head butted a tree." She had to bite her tongue as not to laugh at how silly she must have been this morning, headbutting the great oak tree.

But memories preceeded the mare, a glaze entered her eyes. "But I fear, Fayte that the stallion here won't allow me to make home. That is, if I want to make home here...I'm not so sure of anything anymore." Maero let out a long and weary sigh. "I've been in the meadows far too long...It's time for this tumbleweed to tumble on home." She smiled weakly at her new found friend before returning to the grass. This time, however, she ate far more reasonably, and far more slower than how the red dun started off as.

A few more minutes later, and Maero returned to the water, drinking deeply from it every few moments or so. But nonetheless did she allow Fayte out of her sight, almost in fear that her friend would vanish like a too good to be true dream.
