It didn’t take long for Dragon to find the new lead, even in the pouring rain. As he started trotting towards the three dark shapes, he nickered out. ”Nikola!” Dragon knew that if the stallion was able to beat him in a battle for the Ridge, it would probably be best to find a home, without being lead.

And he was offered to be beta here.

He nickered again as he slowed to a stop next to the group. ”Nikola, I have come to see about being beta, if I still am allowed.” He dipped his head, but jerked it back up as he caught her scent. Kyuui is here? Dragon peered at the two other dark shapes. One he did not know, and the other was Kyuui. ”Kyuui?” He breathed softly, flaring his nostrils to inhale her scent. ”Is it really you?” Forgetting Nikola, he stepped towards her, and reached out his neck to feel her. Stepping even closer to her, Dragon nuzzled her cheek.

Nothing else mattered, as long as his Kyuui was safe and sound.
