During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

He was going to have a seizure. Do doubt about it. Drop dead right on the spot, leg twitching, tongue hanging out to one side. She didn’t even flinch when the ferret’s blood came raining down upon her face, still hot and bubbling. Quite the contrary, actually. Little giggles came from her lips as she basked in the crimson fluid. Oh yeah, she had to go. No one, not even the most morbid beasts that wander these lands, could look at that and not see something terribly wrong with this child. But let her do as she pleased with the damned thing. After he went to clean himself she bolted out some cheerful words but Serris didn’t pay one bit of attention. He simply licked the wetness from his paws and chest, using the inside of his ankle to reach the upper parts of his muzzle. Much like a cat, yes, but there was nothing wrong with being clean. All the better deception, for in the next second he could be hanging from your jugular. Finally done, the shadowy hessian sighed and cracked his neck, glancing back over at the pup who was still tearing into the twisted creature. At least she didn’t ask to be spoon fed. Then suddenly a thud reached his audits and he spun around, half-rising off the ground in anticipation for the unknown, ebon sentries pushed fully forward and pools flashing dangerously at whatever threat had managed to sneak up on them. But all he found in view was the girl, nose first into the mud, dirt-covered piece of meat clamped in her jaws. A growl slid onto his kissers as he dropped back down to the ground, tucking the end of his muzzle into the armpit farthest away from the girl. Maybe if he didn’t move she wouldn’t see him and she’d go away. Childish thinking, yes, but he was ready to try anything right now. But alas, the little demon spawn popped right up in front of him with that tiny piece of meat wedged between her mandibles, mumbling something incomprehensible then dropping the chunk at his paws. Serris gave it a look of disgust. Yeah, right.

What he never expected, though, was for the thing to pounce for his tail and make a plaything out of it. The raven appendage bobbed and jerked to try and elude Kobato’s grasp but the pup still managed to land a few hits now and again. The Alpha let another deep growl resonate from his throat before realizing, and remembering, that the threat would make so such impact in the mind of this youngster. And, true, Serris could have ascended to his pads and kicked this little bitch to kingdom come, but who knew what kind of mess she’d start to cause with him on his feet again. Better just let her tire out… and his plan seemed to work, when, after a while, the pup subdued her actions and firmly clamped upon his tassel before laying still behind his bulk. Son of a… Serris was about to stand and shake the girl off when a shift in light caught his azure pools and his cranium whipped around once more, ears pinned and jowls wrinkled in an obvious threat. Not to protect the girl; oh no, he wouldn’t let anybody see himself be made a fool of. But when he saw a semi-familiar black figure approaching them he relaxed his facial tensions. Devil’s Angel. Had she been watching them all along? Something told the brujo that this was the truth, but Serris weakly convinced himself otherwise. Despite, an eyebrow began to twitch at the annoyance of being spotted with such an absurd creature, latched onto his tail no less. Pushing himself towards the canopy, the blackened brute almost regained his legs when the weight and pain of the pup on his flag firmly pulled his rump back to the ground. Taking a moment to let the anger seethe through him, Serris rolled his eyes back into his skull before returning a reassuring smile to Devil that he was sure was quite laughable. The fine Alpha he was turning out to be, wasn’t he?

Dreadful anticipation ran through the boy as the fatale parted her maw to speak, but the words were simple and few, although he sensed an undercurrent flowing beneath the lyrics. In reply Serris simply gave a nonchalant shrug. He shifted his hinds before giving a verbal answer. “Well, I tried to convince her to stay and become our whore but… hey, you wouldn’t know anything about that whole conversation.” He last sentence was indeed a statement, but his flashing spheres held the burning desire of a question. Had she really overheard that part too? He could only hope not. Rising again, Serris made sure to give a firm snap of his lower spine to dislodge the trash hanging there. Her jaws finally slid off, lubricated by saliva that now dripped off his drooping tail. “Son of a bitch…” he snarled in disgust and even more anger, lashing his plume from side to side as if that would actually remove the viscous fluid hanging there. After his attempt failed, Serris simply decided to give up and pad over to his packmember, trying to step carefully as to not wake the demon. “You’re a girl, right?” he asked with a joking eyebrow raise, a sign that his usual sarcastic self still sat dormant under all that annoyance. “Well, how am I supposed to deal with… that without starting a whole ‘nother chain reaction of problems?” The King considered that any other regal would feel embarrassed asking such a stupid thing of one of their followers, but in all honesty Serris had never had a thing for the younger generation, and this was the longest he’d spent in the company of one. Were all bloody pups this way? Mindlessly shaking his head, Serris waited for the help he hoped would be offered and prayed to whatever fictional gods there may be that the girl didn’t wake up.
