 Nikola was not running around in the rain, for once. Not even a drizzle today, he was satisfied to stand under light gray clouds and graze on lush green grass, patches here and there that hadn't been trampled or uprooted by his running about. He'd have to be more careful if he were to keep his land fertile for his mares. Mare. Larka. His mind shifts from eating and the black and white spotted mare that was sure to be nearby. He was giving her some time to herself, to get accustom to her new home. If everything went right she and he would be together for a long time.. No need to smother her now, though his affections were becoming stronger all the time. He lifted his head, turning his thick neck around to seek said femme out. It was then that a new scent caught his nose and he stiffened. Unmistakably the musk of man, he felt a strange bristle of protectiveness. Now that he had something to protect other than his land, he was overwhelmed by it. But he didn't let it go to his head. Instead, he turned towards the sound of the strange stallion announcing his presence. Well, at least he had the good manners to knock! Nikola took off in a fast trot towards the boarders, over the hill that brought him fact to face with the tobiano. Well, he was going to have a lot of spotted characters in his company it seemed, if only for a short time. "Greetings! I am Nikola. What brings you to my soggy abode today?" he called out as he neared, tones ever friendly. This stranger was not an enemy simply from being another stallion, though the grullo was not as silly as to think all males came as polite at this one. He paused a few feet in front of Hollowpoint, posed with his head high and ears alert. Excited to have a visitor! N I K O L A |
